Beta registrations for Stargate Worlds continue to pour in and have now passed the 200,000 mark!

We're extremely happy to see the community continue to grow and are looking forward to many more milestones like this as we move closer to launch.

Thanks everyone!

Typical marketing BS, so sick of crap like this, who cares how many registrations they have if not 100% of them are currently able to play the beta.

While I respect the game they are attempting to pull together (more so than the others who also touted their beta applicant numbers) it just means so little now-a-days.  So many people are just looking to try something new, trying to be that first person with bragging rights to say "I've been here before everyone else..." but generally have no sincere interest in helping to better the game itself.  While certain technical aspects such as server load and connectivity tests may benefit from just sheer numbers alone.... the fact that if gameplay is not refined and enhanced and tested by those who are PRIVLEDGED to be in beta simply does the game no justice.

200,000 is impressive just as AoC's and WAR's numbers were, but who amongst those numbers are there to truely help the game succeed?  200,000 registrants don't even reflect true interest in the game with today's current MMO players.

Guess something positive needed to be posted since the release date was pushed back.  Would be more material if they announced when all these applicants might start getting in said beta.

I guess this is great news for SGW's.  I have been a huge fan since the original movie.  Have all the SG-1 episodes plus Atlantis but I have started to lose interest.

Been playing different MMO's since SWG Pre-CU (Favorite Game btw) and was really looking foward to this game.  With the delay and not many beta invites I have started looking forward to the new WoW expansion.  I hope it will bring some new energy to the MMO world or at least for awhile.

Just something companies do so that they can go to their investors and say "See! Our product is drawing alot of interest!". Course they don't tell them how many are multi signups by fans (fanatic) trying to get in. There really isn't a way to tell that either with different UN and email addresses.

Either way, SGW still lookis interesting to me. But it's just like someone above said, just more marketing BS that most gamers, at least those who have been playing MMOs prior to 2004, should see right through and take with a grain of salt.

Asheron's Call. The one open world, classless progression, live team content oriented game that ALL game sites and developers show little respect for as a template to pattern future MMOs after.
