I think a lot of people expect too much from a game. As much as I would love to find that ideal MMOG that I could settle into for several years, I am more realistic.

WAR is a decent game. It is not a broken game. Sure, it has problems but it also has some nice features. The bottom line is that it is fun and certainly will provide more than enough entertainment to justify the cost. Whether I keep playing six months after release depends on the direction Mythic takes the game.

I think this game is going to be a big commercial success—unlike most of the greatly hyped games that have been released in the last few years. This is an important consideration for me because commercial success translates to the high likelihood of a large post-launch development team with frequent patches and new content.

WAR is in very decent shape for launch and has great potential to improve.

Agree 100%.  I am really interested to see the direction that they take once the game launches and they fix the initial bugs so that they can start building on the game.

I agree with you all too.  It will be a fun game, and a great pvp game.  Its not a WoW killer, or a Killer of any game, it will however be great for people who love RvR and World PvP.  I think it will be just fine.  Its by far not the most AMAZING game in the world, but compared to say AoC/Vanguard  its FAR superior.

People are way over-thinking this decision and trying to analyze every minutia of information they gather.

Let me say it again, this is not a broken game.  If you have any interest at all in WAR then just buy it.  You will most definitely have more than enough fun to justify the cost of the box.  Stay or leave depending on your own impressions and opinions of the game.
