In the open world stuff they are a pain as they run with the chosen, so while they might be out of range of people like the shamans the DoK are keeping them and themselves alive.
Anyways that was a great review and I was wondering if one this good would ever come here. Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time. Yep. one thing to note on the content they removed and why. Cities: they got carried away and the cities are massive, there is a video clip somewhere talking about how the remaining cities being MUCH larger scale than what was origonally planned. 4 classes removed: Better not to have them than have them unbalanced. There are plently left... :) On a side note from that tho is the DE Tier1 is lacking a good mix of tank types... making PQ's in that area a bit more challenging, but not impossible. I have been in Closed Beta for a while and I still dont know for sure what class I want to play... Every time I tried a new one I was like "This ones it!". I have always played a single Char/Class in MMO's now here I can say for certain I will have at least 2 alts... there all just so much fun to play. -Phidian |

What I was saying is that all the content on the box, or that was being advertised as there, is indeed there. The game is content complete, meaning, unlike AoC, where the content ran out at a certain level to be put in later, there are no such "holes" in WAR. Everything is there for everyones enjoyment and there are no unpleasant surprises awaiting someone, like say, going to a certain place and finding it empty, or hitting a certain lvl/rank and then the content just dries up. As for the capitol cities and classes that were removed a few weeks ago...well, at least they aren't hiding it and saying they'll be there, and then they never show up. And honestly, I truly feel that if the other capitols had been in-game at release, things would have been too spread out and no cities would have been taken for a much longer time due to the immense amount of coordination it would have taken to get everyone in the right place at the right time. As things stand now, the fighting will be much more focused and there won't be as much confusion. This is one of the few cases where less content is actually a good thing, at least for now. I mean, wait til you see the capitol cities and everything in them, they are freaking IMMENSE, and there is just so much to do in each one that it's almost overwhelming. That being said, I do believe they will NEED to get those other cities in the game at some point to keep things interesting, and I highly doubt they aren't aware of this. As for the classes that were removed, yeah, it kind of sucks, but after experiencing almost all of the other classes I can honestly say that ALL the ones I tried were very fun to play, and all were relatively balanced. Obviously, they felt that these other classes weren't up to snuff and needed more time in the oven, and I can respect that. Yeah, people are upset that the class they wanted to play isn't in, but I think they'd be more upset if they're preferred class sucked, I know I would be. The devs have said, many times, that if the classes they removed can be made better and up to snuff, then they will be put back in. If they can't, then they WILL be replaced w/ other classes that are. And just looking at the Warhammer armies, there are PLENTY of options for replacements, some are, IMHO, potentially more interesting then the ones that were removed. |
