WAR (Warhammer Online)

Ok I have been testing the game for quite a while.

I want to give feedback on the the 3 most overpowered classes and 3 underpowered classes from both factions. Please note that these are my PERSONAL thoughts, and it is based on the CURRENT state of the game (changes can be made).

Order most OP:

1. Ironbreaker: I think it is the best tank in the game. Give them a healer and they just wont die even when 3-4 people are attacking him. It's DPS also shines. I had heard that they have an OP skill called Earthshatter or something which increases their DPS a lot (which would be looked at I guess). Consider heavy balancing on this class imo.

2. Warrior Priest: Much better than it's counter class DoK. Has better survivability and also a great healer for duo-crushing with another tank.

3. Bright Wizard: This class is really nasty if it is behind the lines. Solo? Meh, he can not do much, but put a few BW behind the lines and he will destroy the whole destruction army or will force them to stay back. Much more powerful compared to the Sorceress in Destruction.

Order below average:  (I won't go into details, these are just my experiences)

1. Engineer (not so bad in a group)

2. White Lion

3. Shadow Warrior

Destruction most OP:

1. Shaman: Very good DPS, very good healing, very good debuff/buffs (stealing intelligence, stealing action points), but squishy. They have slightly less healing compared to Zealots, however they have about triple the damage, or maybe more. They have the coolest tools in their arsenal to eliminate opponents (debuffs etc.). Very fun ranged healer/DPS hybrid (if you are on the same side of course).

2. (?) Black Orcs: Very good tanks, good DPS.

3. (?) Chosen: Same with Black Orcs. I guess Chosen is more DPS oriented compared to Black Orcs and has slightly less survivability, but I might be wrong. I have played one upto level 15, most of your team mates will be Chosen if you go Destruction (probably because of the looks+armor).

Destruction below average:

1. Disciple of Khaine: The problem with this class is that he has to stand in the frontlines to do the job. But when he is upfront, he gets killed very quickly because he is not a tank at all. Yes DoKs have HOTs, but they won't just save your ass when you are getting nuked by 2-3 players.

2. Magus: Well, I haven't played one, but everyone says they suck, so it must be true :)

3. Sorceress: I just couldn't do with this class. Got one at lvl 13 and I just get killed by a melee under 5 seconds or blow myself up! Yes, she has AoE like the BW but I guess the damage is not scaled correctly on this one. Squishy, 3 sec long spells getting disrupted by any kind of damage, no real CCs (her CCs are more than likely to break on damage). Don't know, they would be useful in a 40 men raid though, I guess.

Swordmaster with the ensorcelled agony tactic. Gives a spammable attack (no c.d 40 AP) a dot that does 135/5sec at level 19, and it stacks. I can take down champions by using that alone. I highly doubt it's intended, just a little glitch I found by mistake.

 How can you put a Brightwizard in above average, and a soceress below average? First off, soceresses have MUCH better single target nuking powers (1v1, sorceresses kick BW butt) and secondly,  just because they are slightly under played, doesn't mean they are below average!

I did, many a time

I would pretty much agree, although I don tthink the Black Orc or Chosen are OP. Without a healer behind them they can go down just as fast as other classes(well perhaps a little slower) but the damage survival ratio is pretty much the same. Sure you last longer but you do less damage and in the end you do about as much as a melee would.

Now put a healer behind them and they are unstoppable killing machines who can completely disrupt a 10-20 man offense. I have single handedly experienced this on my Chosen with a Zealot or two backing me up on heals I can simply wade through the lines and go straight for the healers/casters completely and effecitvely shutting them down and allowing the melees and our ranged to thrash Order offense. However I will also say that alot of healers dont understand that and still feel their nukes are more constructive...

I am not talking about 1v1 sorceress vs. BW which will happen maybe once in a week.

Ranged caster DPSs shine in big groups. BW has better AoE. They make much more damage compared to Sorceress, and it's what matters in RvR.

Why do you think people do not play Sorceress and tons of people play BW then? Also Sorceress looks much more cooler if you are taking that into account (dark elf chick vs. a clown looking thing).

I think they don't have very very good DPS. I am not sure. When I played Destruction I did not have any difficulty killing SWs 1 on 1 with ANY class except the Sorceress and Magus. But then again, I haven't seen too many SWs at level 30+ so maybe I am wrong.
