so.. hello once again. im sure there been plenty before me asking similar question , but after failure aoc was

im just not into wasting money on game. i do not live in rich country.. where game with even minimum wage. etc uk.. cost your about 3-5 hours of work ..

as i didnt play war beta ( tho i never saw anyone saying its great.. there were gazilion ppl saying it does suck. another bunch that its fine.. and one more. boring slow dull.. borked wow close.. just as lotro without even decent graphic )

so mythic mistakes. they make same preorder to get into beta.. same as aoc.. i already dont like it..

open beta.um duh. i need to preorder. hows thats open.

no game trying/trial at start = no gaming from start= not playing game at all .

i can point out few major games which had open betas ( i do not follow each game, i wasnt as much gamer back then )..

etc wow.. well everyone know this game.. everyone loves.. and those who hate. hate it just for popularity. well know fact ( could never figure it out.. its not some random dude which stole your gf  , get over it )

this game had so many betas. i was in atleast 3-4.. usa beta. korean beta. eu beta. ( lots of closed ones too ) it was so easy to get into them..

lineage 2.. well while not main game.. its still probably only game which got even close to popularity of wow. reaching 4 mln players at a time  ( numbers decreased )

had open beta..

guild wars.. revoliutonary game.. free game play better game than eq2 even less addons than eq2 :D ( god i once remember checking eq2 it had so many paid expansions.. was like 3 years ago.. it was scary )

yet again had open weekends betas.. lovely game , im sure there were more..

hiding game from public = no trust in game. in my eyes, as im someone who likes to be one of the first or just lvlup with grp and such..

starting game 2 months after start in desolated 1-xx what number cap. lands is just not my thing. most likely resulting in never playing game even if its great

You have to understand that they are not hiding the game from everyone with not allowing everyone to enter into beta.  WAR has 700K+ people signed up for the beta could you imagine how many people would flock to it if the servers were all open?  Mythic could not sustain those kind of numbers without having the servers prepared. 

I am in beta and enjoy the game a lot, but I can't help you make the decision to purchase it.  If you have played DAoC and enjoyed it you would probably enjoy WAR.  Other then that I really can't say until the NDA is officially dropped.

It's hard to read your post.  I feel like you really feel like you deserve something from Mythic, but that isn't the case.  I would suggest you just keep feeling however you are going to feel, and then let the game come out and see what happens.

Where have you been getting your info?  People in Europe are trashing it more than people in North America. Don't ask me why.

If your money is that tight I don't know what to tell you.  

The bottom line is some people will love it, some won't.  But it isn't borked I'll tell you that much.

i was done reading at the WoW part i tried really hard to like that game.  i didn't.  i actually tried to like

it because it has so many subs.  no go though sorry to throw your theory off.

Sorry to break this to you Vern but, not everyone in the world speaks English as their primary language.  Man, and people wonder why the US has a bad rep.  Next time check the man's profile before barking up the wrong tree.

Open beta is not free trial.

Open beta is a last minute check on how much the server can handle and a few tweaks here and there.

If you want free trial you'll wait like in any other game.

That simple. I still can't figure why people think open beta status entitles them to anything really.
