Once again another patch where none of the game breaking issues have been addressed.

Never mind pvp patch but gem stacking, duping, seige battles etc..still broken..

i gave this game its 3 month chance but now its bye bye..

I can see one 18yr old zit-faced developer saying " hey, I'm doing the best I can" while sitting in a large, empty room.

The devs are all gone, there isn't anyone that is every going to get around to doing substantial bug fixes.  This is what AoC will be like for the next 6 months.    A very lackluster patch released every month.

If so, how was it fixed...

a) no one can dupe any more, but those who cheated keep gems

b) no one can dupe any more, and those who cheated had their duped gems taken away.

c) no one can dupe any more, and those who cheated had their duped gems taken away, and those who made a killing frm selling dupes gems armor kits are banned from the game.

If a is the case, it makes me puke.If b is the case, I may consider going back at some point. c) would restrore my faith that this game will not tolerate rampant exploits (and by explaoits, I mean hacking and serious cheating, not shooting someone from some stairs)

They fixed the dupe, but didn't remove any gems, armor, gold, they didn't ban anyone, and they didn't do a thing to fix the economy.

So, All those dupers have a serious advantage with their gemmed out armors and filled gold pouches.

Of course I'm sure Mr. Ellingsen ... I mean MrBloodwhatever ... will try to spin this in a positive way.

Funcom banning customers for secretly exploiting, are you crazy?! $$$

You should have learned long time ago that Funcom does not care about expliting (dupe exploits been out for 1-2 months anyone). Banning exploiters will hurt their money income badly. Any company with in their right mind would hotfix such a serious exploit within seconds or minutes.. its a disaster for the game.. AoC is destroyed, and the exploiters face no punish, they still have their million golds shared on lots of characters and accounts.

Ohh well, people who play AoC lives inside a bubble. They lives in a pipe dream to say the least. Playing for nothing else than to be owned by cheating exploiters. Everytime you see someone kill you, you can tell yourself, theres another exploiter that Funcom endorse so much.

Your free to play the game how much you like. I thank God everyday that I dont have to. I am so happy to be able to just write about what I think about Funcom on these forums.

Not only have the cheaters kept all their gems... but the best cheaters have actually had their hard work and devotion to the game rewarded with... forum mod status! Good job guys!

Exactly, and thats not enough, I am sure they have not fixed all the exploits out there yet. Everyone in my guild endoresed exploiting elite mobs, tells me how much they cared about getting cought, cos there is no risk involved. So if you play AoC, your considered a sad sad cheater in my eyes.

They are never going to fix the game. Its been 3 months and all they do is fix petty things patch after patch. And when you add in the stealth nerfing, all the things they break with each patch and 15 attempts to fix the Necro its obvious they have no clue what they are doing.

Only took what like 2 months to get the Enter the pyramid quest to work? And some people still cant enter the Arean after 3 months of attempts to fix that lol.

Yet. Would be the key word here. They are also not the first MMO to fix a dupe, and not do anything (for whatever reason) to remove the duped items. Such as Warcraft.  Also, how do any of you know that they didnt remove, or ban people? You automatically assume that because there was no press release about the banning that it didn’t happen?  Realize even Wow or other games don’t say anything about banning, and if they do, they already happened, even months ago before any public comments.

Its like none of you have played MMO's before, seriously.

I really really wanted this game to work out and be everything that Funcom hyped it to be....but after 3 months and 20+ of usless patching I am sick and tired being a  alpha tester for this pos....I went to play EQII also most of my friends canceled their accounts as well....good luck to you Funcom : you mastered the art of propaganda but  yet have to learn to design FUN games , personally I will never buy their product again.

EQ had duping 3 or 4 months after launch and they didn't ban anyone.  WoW, I heard had it as well.

It really makes no sense what you people (who probably don't play the game anymore) are demanding.  "Fix duping in a matter of seconds"... the two biggest Western MMO companies didn't do that.

"after you fix duping, go ban all the players who duped."  If they could track the players that duped, they would have banned them previously (and they have banned players for exploiting), there's no link between fixing the bug and banning the players.  Plus all the time to track down and ban these players, takes away from the effort to fix bugs.  What do you want them to do, fix bugs or ban players?

Really, just think.  It's sort of a sad lemming mentality on these boards.  Every Wednesday you can expect one guy to post "They patched the game but there are still problems!!!!' and 120 of his lemming hole mates to follow up with 'Yeah, dey're da wurst cumpany evah!  i hopes dey die.'

I still have an active account.

I still log on from time to time to chat up a few friends that still play AoC on a semi regular basis while they await upcoming releases.

The worst offenders on the Bane and Tyranny servers are still active, and have not been banned. They still have mass amounts of gems as well as gemmed out armors on the market. You automatically assume none of us log in to check this stuff. And you do realize MOST MMOs that have had dupe issues HAVE done things to correct the problem (rollbacks, item wipes, etc.).

Its like you've only ever played WoW, Vanguard and AoC, seriously.

My good sir, if you think that its fine to use 1-2 months to fix a dupe, while banning people on the forums for caring about the game's future,  then you sir are one bit of deluded mess. How much do you get payed for using such arguments like "other mmo companies have done it, so can Funcom".. are you aware of the consequences that this exploiting causes? Blizzard fixed all  the exploits I heard about in less than one week, even that is very bad, but 1-2 months? Give me a break. There are still possible to exploit in AoC from what I have heard. Such issues need to be handled right away, even if it would cost Funcom alot money to get it done fast enough.
