The cost is 1269$, and it comes with a 22 inch monitor. I was thinking about getting that and then just buying another HD3870. Would this be good? Or should I try really hard to find a computer that has an HD4870? Basically, my budget is now 1500$, and as always, the cheaper the better. My specs are 4GB RAM 500 GB HD 2.83 GHz-3.0 GHz Duo Processor Dual Video Cards A 20-22 inch monitor I am not going to build my own, but if necessary I will install say a video card or something simple like that as it is not the same thing as throwing an entire computer together. If you guys can give me feedback about the above or maybe any other site, besides IBuypower and Cyberpower, that I can customize my computer with that would be great. One more question, is it really necessary to have dual video cards? Someone fill me in with this whole thing. |

Well 4gb of RAM you will need vista 64 and get 2x2gb, 4x1gb strains the memory controller. You can try avadirect. SLI and Crossfire give you a 20% boost its crap. |

I am assuming that is a full Dell system and that you intend to use it for gaming as you are posting here. If both these assumptions are correct I would advise that you throw away the Dell brochure as quite honestly they are crap for gaming even when they look good on paper. Save yourself some money and frustration by building a PC yourself, it's not as hard as you think it is and there are a great many knowledgable people on these boards that would be happy to advise you on it. |
