I am not preording WaR because I am worried that it will be Just like AOC at release. I know I will be flamed. But they took out alot of content to get it ready for launch and have not lifted the NON disclosure yet and open beta is only 1 week so all you get is like AOC the starter area. I have been burned the last few releases and hate wasting my money on STILL Beta games that should not have been released. |

The OB was only going to be limited up to level 20 anyway. Look, you saw the release date thread, and felt the need to get a reaction by making a new thread about it. Dont you think thats silly? No one really cares. Your options are limited, play this mmorpg, go back to WoW, or stop playing them altogether because there really isnt a lot of options at this point. I dont think anything can be as bad as AoC. Please keep threads like this in the original thread you got the information from. |

Before WOW, there were MMORPG''s. After WOW there were online solo single RPG''s. |

IMO..., the info I have gained from perusing the net? AOC beta leaks were bad, I think. WAR beta leaks were good, I think. To me, that says a lot. Also, Mythic has one polished successful MMO under it's belt (DAOC), so I cannot help but think that successive designs by this company would be just as polished. Therefore, I do not expect WAR to compare to AOC at all.

This is exactly the same way every mmorpg is released. The fact that AOC was so horrible is just dragging down future games which is sad. Now if they keep the NDA up until release you have a very valid point. It really was the NDA that screwed people over for AOC since the beta testers couldn't tell people that most of the game wasn't finished. |

Imo War looks like its going to be another overhyped flop. The beta leaks and on other forums from beta testers have been very negative about the game in its current state only 1 month form launch. |

When i was invited to beta 2 months ago it was already completely better than AoC after it launched, and yes i played AoC til max lvl and quit because it was buggy as all hell and there was nothing to do endgame..
WAR will definitely not have a launch as bad a AoC did |

They also didn't cut a lot of content they could a few classes and 4 of 6 main cities...which leaves them with about 2x as many classes most mmo's and just as many main cities. NDA's being up this long is very normal what isn't normal is what aoc did by never dropping it prerelease which won't happen in war at all...on other thing in WAR there is no starter area like aoc the second you login you are apart of the war effort and change the course of your server from there on out.... look at that i just debunked all your worries and didn't even have to break the nda, But as soon as it is up i'll be posting my vids...4 done 2 more on the way at least |

Quick response, No. The game will not be flawless, but it will be pretty damn good. The game has PvE, PvP/RvR, Crafting and Endgame. What else do you need? (don't answer boobs) |

I talked to a few old guild friends that got into beta, they seem to like it alot, but once the NDA drops is when people should talk if the game is good or bad. we dont need the mass "mythic took out something i think it is going to be like AoC." forum spam we are seeing. people need to review history on the company, looking funcom's history you could see why the game failed, mythic has had 2 mmos they worked on, this is there 3rd and they were not epic failures like anarchy online. |

I think WAR will do much better than AoC. I think the majority of people I saw playing AoC were just playing it as something new to try until WAR came out. Mythic has a good base of loyal customers, Warhammer (in general) has a good base of followers, and many of the people who play WoW are just waiting for something new so they can jump ship. I think this game will be fine. Sure, there will be problems in the beginning (it isn't like WoW was perfect from the get-go). I am pretty confident that Mythic will put out smart content, and always be working on updates and listening to it's community (provided EA lets it :P). Another difference is the bad experience the PvP servers gave to some people in AoC. A lot of people just couldn't take the unfair advantages of other classes just pummeling them mercilessly with no way to escape. WAR has focused PvP that will give players a purpose other than icing someone over and over. With all that being said, I stand by WAR, and /salute it's attempt to battle WoW. Personally though, I likely won't be playing WAR, so I can assure you I am unbiased in the aforementioned ramblings. I may very well change my mind, being a fickle gamer swayed by impulse.
