if they actually do decide to vote on drilling. It will be funny when they try to take credit for it. |

How did drilling even become an issue? It's estimated that at best we'd be able to get about 3 billion barrels of oil by 2030. As we use somewhere around 20 million barrels a day that would last of all of 3 years. Well whoop-dee-shit. It's as pointless as ethanol. |

FIFY. Corn ethanol is a waste, and is only supported by lobbyists for Big Corn, but ethanol from other sources such as hemp and soybeans can produce significantly higher yields without crippling livestock farmers. |

i stand by my numbers of approval ratings for bushy baby. hes something like in the 20's. i think its fair to add 17-24% points because that is the minimal adjustment for the uninformed masses. higher in some demographics. profile the polls for ignorance. remember the FISA bill the dems screamed bloody murder about? the one that got all that attention from the press. the tag line, bush was spying on americans and media ran with it. regurgitated it all over the globe. hammered the point here at home. and what happened? dem dems went with it come vote time. yes, little things like this pad the numbers given the medias high left leanings. i wonder what concessions republicans had to make to get this through? i thought it would have been wisest for republicans to just let this bill expire- the offshore ban, that is. is this just a bogus bill did we lose on this?

It's just like any other political canard. The Republicans have somehow convinced their constituents that there is a significant amount of oil to be gained from OCS and ANWR drilling. I've already pointed out that the Bush administration's own energy analysts believe that OCS drilling won't lower gas prices, and we'll gain even less from the ANWR, but nobody here really cares. Don't waste your breath. |

I dont't think its a bill the Republicans have to worry about. Its the damage the scandals did to them in the past few years thats going to keep people pissed off and not voting for them for a while. The Democrats have smooth sailing for a while now no matter what they do or say. Not even Fox News can do anything to save Republicans now. Its all just a freak show anyway to distract Americans from what the government is doing to us. |

It's important to note that sheer oil output is not the only important thing here...The more oil we produce here, the less foreign nations are able to charge for their own oil, keep that in mind. |

| There's something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be, desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety? |
