Sorry yes Im too lazy to look it all up it is 1:30 am here :

Are there seperate servers for Europe and US?

How many servers in total French German UK and US?

If  you pick a faction would you be levelling in a different zone to other factions?

How many players were there in each faction?

Does race matter for future skill selection/training?

How does harvesting work e.g can I start and go harvest like in eq2 or do I have to train and collect things like shovels?

Is there an auction/trade house?

Is there player housing or get together hubs?

How does transport work? through shards or mounted and when can you use them?

How meaningful was pvp?

How easy is it finding a reasonable guild?

How many of you are excited about returning and why?

Thank you for taking the time to answer them

I'll take a crack at them :)

1. There are separate servers for language, the US and UK servers are combined. There is only 1 server each so far. They are working to expand the languages right now.

2. 3 servers so far, and very little instancing.

3. Factions really determine which TelePort locations you can use. There are three factions, karavan, Kami, and neutral. neutral has to pay for TP's. You can start anywhere with any faction.

4. I don't know how may in each faction, there was enough to have decent PvP OP battles before the shutdown.

5. Race has little to do with it, except for looks and home city. Pick the race you think looks the best :)

6. Harvesting is very complicated. You basically need to level harvesting, and remember that it is interactive: your target may blow up before you can harvest it all. You can be one-shotted by a harvest explosion. It is not mindless, like other mmo foraging.  It turns out that a duo of a Care-planner/digger are the best at keeping the Atys soil happy enough for a full dig.

7. There is a way to sell your items to other players, through the normal vendors. Note that all player made items are superior to NPC items. You set your price for items, and others either pay it or they don't.

8. Player and Guild housing exists; but is generic, good for storage. You cannot customize your housing at this point. You can also keep a packer pet in a town stable, and have storage there.

9. Transport is either through just running there, or riding a mount there, or teleporting there. To teleport to a TP location, you have to already have visited it to buy a ticket, and have proper faction.  "Trekking" to TP locations and cities is a major activity in Ryzom.

10. PvP as I saw it was two forms: 1) consensual PvP arena battles 2) OutPost contests between guilds. OP's produce resources that are coveted, so they provoke PvP battles. Some of these battles got really  large, with dozens or more on each side. You can also PvP flag, but I saw few if any flagged that way; It is available though.

11. One of the bright spots of Ryzom is the cooperative spirit -- players would rez others in their zone, for example. Diggers would respond and help rez anyone around. Guilds are very supportive, and hand-me down armor/weapons/amps/etc were always there. We are all trying  to make a living in Atys, and helping others is normal.

12. The Ryzom world, Atys, is fun to just be in, even if you just watch it and don't do anything. Light years ahead of any other MMO for immersion and creature AI, even now. I am excited it has come back, and would gladly pay for a lifetime membership

Boredom is in the temperament of the beholder.

Are there seperate servers for Europe and US?
No, servers are divided by language instead of geography.

How many servers in total French German UK and US?
Three: Aniro (French), Arispotle (English), and Leanon (German).

If  you pick a faction would you be levelling in a different zone to other factions?
No. Your faction determines which teleports you can use, but there are both Kami and Karavan teleports in every region.

Does race matter for future skill selection/training?
No. There are only two things race affects:
- Base magical resistances. These can be compensated for with jewelry, which provides bonuses to resists and stats.
- Default fame/reputation with factions, races, and tribes. This can be compensated for by doing missions for the faction/race/tribe you want to have a better standing with.

How does harvesting work e.g can I start and go harvest like in eq2 or do I have to train and collect things like shovels?
Here's some rather verbose info on harvesting and crafting. In short, you can harvest right off the bat with your refugee pick, but the harvesting system is much more complex and interactive than most.

Is there an auction/trade house?
There is no central auction house.

Each continent has its own pool of goods that have been sold into it by players via the merchant NPCs of that continent's associated race.
Each city in a continent hosts a different level range of goods ("level range" is a very basic way to describe it though, since different types of items have different requirements, usually a statistic related to the item; items are also labeled with a "quality" rather than a level).

Merchant NPCs sell a few of their own goods, but those are 1) useless crap, 2) very expensive, and 3) an incomplete stock. Thus the purpose of the merchant NPCs is to act as middlemen for player-to-player transactions. It is also possible to trade directly in-person.

There are Hawkers roaming the wilderness, often found at outposts, to whom things can be sold. The continent their goods end up in is determined by the Hawker's racial allegiance.

When you sell to a merchant or hawker, you have two options: sell to NPC, or sell on to players. The former deletes the item you sell and gives you an amount of dappers (money) based on the item's quality, quantity, and grade (Basic, Fine, Choice, Excellent, or Supreme - determined by the grades of materials used in its construction). The latter gives you the same amount of immediate money but makes the item available for other players to purchase for one week. If it's purchased, you get additional money, which is increased by your setting a higher markup (0% to 9999%+). If it's not, it gets deleted after the seven days have ended.

How does transport work? through shards or mounted and when can you use them?
There are two teleporters in every region, one Kami and one Karavan. There is no functional difference between Kami and Karavan teleporters, only who can use them, what they look like, and the loading screen image.

Characters who've worked up their fame with the Kami and undergone their faction alignment rite can only use Kami teleporters, and characters who've done the same for Karavan can only use Karavan teleporters. Additional fame with one's chosen faction is needed before one can use teleporters in the underground Prime Roots regions. Neutrals can use a mix of both factions' surface teleporters, but no Prime Roots teleporters and none in level 200-250 regions.

Before you can use a teleporter, you must travel to it on foot. The same is true of respawn points. Once you find a teleporter, you buy a Teleporter Pact (low price), which is a 0.1-bulk item that goes into your inventory and can only be used from there, but can be stored in packers and personal apartments (not guild apartments). Once used, a TP is deleted and a replacement must be bought. If you run out of TPs and forget to replace them, you must run to the teleporter again.

How easy is it finding a reasonable guild?
Easy, I expect. I've almost never tried to join a non-RP guild so I can't be sure, but it seems most guilds are friendly to everyone they have no reason to be unfriendly to, and internally even family-like.

How many of you are excited about returning and why?
I'm excited about returning because out of the many MMOs I've played, none come close to Ryzom in terms of satisfying my desire for sandbox-style freedom, unique features and lore, deep, meaningful crafting and interesting, interactive harvesting, the feeling of a living world that is also beautiful and well worth exploring, and a decent, non-crowded community.

I am also eager to get back into Ryzom roleplay on both Arispotle and Leanon (although Leanon is a German server, many there are bilingual and I found a nice RP guild).

I've been thinking of making my way back to Atys, but for me the RP factor is what will bring me back.  Long before it existed, but through the years it had dwindled much.  Many games have you and I been caught up in to RP, but Ryzom I know has been the ultimate choice amungst all.

Is there, or will
