Yeah, because the integrity of the timeline of SWG has been of paramount importance. Lucky for us they corrected the errors of the movies and allowed thousands of jedi to freely run around and things of such nature.
It is not a planet, because they don't have the resources to make an expansion.

Play the video again and LISTEN to what the guy is saying. You'll hear him describe the roles you can play, and you clearly hear him say “piloting vehicles in atmospheric flight, and gunning down rebels with your walker!” what you saw was ingame game play and not all cutscene. |

No, what they'd do is keep SOE in the dark so they can keep getting (what is now) a small amount of money each month from the licence. The future in PC RPG's is the MMORPG's. Bioware, LEC and EA know this, they're not going to avoid that market... especially with a title as big as Star Wars. Either way I doubt SWG would go away anyway, SWG is like that half dead mule that's immune to bullets and just won't fucking die and put everyone out of they're misery. The fact that the KOTOR game is set in a different timeline (which is less popular than SWG's one) means that some stubborn people will stay in SWG. I can however say that SWG's population will drain even lower (it's estimated to be 30k-ish at the moment).

People at SOE are far more likely to know than say, you. Considering a lot of Bioware Austin IS ex-SOE. |

That's true, but it doesn't mean they've got first hand knowledge either. You also forget the habit they have of 'bending the truth'... Tried: WoW |

About Hoth... finally. I think players have been asking for Hoth since... well, it's been years. I hope it works out for those that still play.

Hoth should of been done as an expansion planet instead of Mustafar, it would of fit more in the SWG timeline. People have been asking for Hoth since the beginning and they ignored it twice when considering new planets. It's good they're finally getting it, though in a watered down raid form. I hope the people who can still tolerate SWG enjoy it! Tried: WoW |

I'm not sure it was cutscene but am sure it was scripted and likely to bare no resemblance to the actual gameplay of the instance. As for what u hear them say from previous experience of game updates what they say is coming and what actually arrives are very unlikely to be the same thing, but u never know i've heard miracles do happen lol |

Well, since a Bioware DEV has stated "kinda" that its going to me a star wars MMO. So, I for one hope that the raped soul of SWG will die. Besides i guess pretty much of the people who plays SWG atm only plays it for the star warsy "feeling". Guess that feeling will be 1000 times better in a new star wars mmo, since well, nge sucks.
and yeah, fanobis, i will smile and buy my self a burger and watch the Oboards burst in flames, when the Bioware mmo hits the market.
Starwars Galaxies, An Empier Diveded, That's what it says on my box anyway. |

And I will enjoy watching these boards explode when the true nature of the Bioware/LEC/EA product details are released. Think of how you can currently play Diablo 2 online, by yourself or quest with a few of your friends, thats the "MMO" thats coming. |

You seem to think it's a bigger chance to a diablo mmo type, than a full blown..... I dunno why they would hire EA as publishers, for one thing. Besides, mmorpgs seems to be the thing now, really. bah, what am i doing here.
Screw you (NGE) guys, i'm going home

The video posted shows a re-skinned standard SWG vehicle model floating at a higher Z axis than normal. If this is atmospheric flight, then it has been in the game for a very, very long time. Look at the video again and see how the speeder dips over a divot in the ground. True atmospheric flight would not behave in such a manner. This is an extremely cheap, sophomoric simulation of real flying. These devs are Visual Basic programmers. They do not have real talent. It is a terrible shame that the current consumers of SWG will accept such inferior effort. You all deserve top shelf quality. This is Star Wars and Sony we are talking about. Why do this group of hack programmers and managers at SOE get to use and abuse such good names? When this goes live, those speeders will be able to steer left and right, accelerate and decelerate, and nothing more, just like existing vehicles already in the game. LAME!!!!! Akevv Ostone |

During a dev chat a few months ago, someone mentioned SOE's plan on buying the Middleware engine for the collision detection and enhanced ground game, which I'm doubting is going to happen for SWG otherwise it could break their budget but I do think they'll use that engine for their DC Online game or whatever the shit is they're working on next. Akevv pretty much summed up what we saw in that video, it isn't any different from what we've seen in the ROTW & ToOW promition videos or profession preview clips, etc. SWTOR: sub ended, no thanks to Georg Zoeller! |
