He looks angry...

Apparently he not only tried to attack the refs at his match, he also tossed his bronze medal away in disgust. I don't know how justified his outrage was, but this was probably a bad way of going about it. They won't award the medal to the next person in line since he was booted from the Olympics for something that happened outside of competition.

He got cheated blatantly basically by the res.  He got in his face but did not attack . He threw down the bronze medal during the ceremony after recieving it and walked off.  Olympics are a sham anyways who cares.  I don't see how they can strip him of his medal considering he threw it away pretty much. It's like a spiteful boss firing his employee AFTER he quits lol.

...Yah this is a huge deal here in sweden.

The referee said he (Ara) was outside the carpet, this is one penalty point which cost Ara the match.

Here is the kicker: only one hand is on the blue circle which does not count as being "out". No wrestling expert can say what the judges where or are looking at (there are like 5-6 camera-angles, none support the referees decision).
There is no official way to "appeal" or protest the referees decision.

If the penalty point was not issued Ara would have won that match, so being pissed is the only reaction I can think of.

(Now there are old stories of corruption and such in the wrestling world, but I though those where tabloid-stories but with this decision I'm not so sure).

I can confirm that it's true about being called out...having one hand out is NEVER counted as being out, he most certainly got cheated.

This Olympics is a sham.

There's something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be, desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety?

I agree.

I love sports.  But the more I consider it, lately I've noticed that I infinitely have more fun when I am playing with some friends or on some local community league just playing for fun.  It seems that pro sports in almost every realm has taken a dive.

I hate to say it, but I think money, fame, and corruption have taken the lead over competitive fun.  And it's not just the fans who are suffering, but the players as well.

I also heard that this very same wrestler was apparently the subject of a highly questionable call the last time he had a go at the Olympics. I wish I could find some video of the match, might make it easier for me to pick a side here. Although, the more I think on it, the more I can agree with what he did.
