WAR (Warhammer Online)

I'm really disappointed that there don't seem to be any CC/Utility classes. (Not in CB btw)

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait, and have it pre-ordered, but new MMO's never seem to have bards or enchanters or any variation. I don't mean "i have a stun and a few knockdowns, I can kind of CC," I mean classes not devoted to DPS/Healer/Tank. What happened to DPS/Healer/Tank/Utility?

Anyways, that was just sort of a rant, so feel free to post your opinions.

Thank god there are no utility classes... Mass aoe stun or mind control are just irritating. These races in warhammer don't give a shit about this stuff. They just wanna  kill eachother. An orc would bash you just for thinking something like that.

If you really want that play everquest 2. :)

Dont know what you are really referring to here. Play your classes at level 40 and then tell me whether or not you think there are/aren't utility classes.

TO the op, from what I know all the classes have a fair ammount of utility.

Second, I think tanks take the roll of IWIN in a group. Yeah sure the dps/ranged/healer types are all in the mix but I think its the Tank that is going to contribute as the UTILITY class.

I didn't say I needed it, so no, I will not be going to EQ2 as you suggested.

If people wanted to "just wanna kill each other" in WAR they why are there healers?

Anyway, I'm just saying to takes a lot of complexity out of the genre, and I don't see how anyone could argue with that. It adds a whole new type of class that's needed for groups.

Utility classes are classes like bards/enchanters. Classes that don't really shine in DPS, don't really heal, but may have some +heal buffs, and don't tank. These classes help the other players in the group with very powerful buffs/mezzes/stuns/stifles/knockdowns/charms/confusion.
