all i have been hearing is CE CE CE CE and CE and pre-order over and over what about just ppl that dont have a CE and didnt pre-order? whats the deal? where is the love for us? i just want to know some info on "normal" ppl. when r they going to send out OB invites?

when open beta starts? or around the time it starts? i dunno....wild guess there...i am  a rocket scientist after all.

I believe this is one of those situations that if you didn't pre-order there will be no "open beta" for you.  There hasn't been an actual open beta in forever, why change that now.  Beta is a huge selling point for these developers and they are going to capitalize on it as often as possible.

so there going to let all the ppl with pre-orders download it ahead of time and then when OB starts they sent out invites...and make ppl download it during OB....gg

that doesnt even make sense...why would you download it twice?

Actually if you're not in beta and didn't preorder, there's probably only a slight chance you will get to be in open beta.

On Monday, you'll be able to download the client via a solution that is, quite frankly, better than what we are currently using. Given the concern/issues with the current Torrent setup, I can't imagine any reasonable person being disappointed with what we are going to do next week. However, in order to get that set up properly, we weren't able to offer it today. I'm sorry for the delay but I know that you'll like what we are doing on Monday better than what we would have been able to do today. And no, it won't cost anything as per my recent post on this subject.

Well, it looks like the open beta isn't open in the traditional sense.  If you did not get accepted into CB, or preorder a CE or SE retail copy, you won't get into the open beta.  Looks like they're going to have a massive ob with just the preorders, so they don't really need to invite anyone who didn't preorder into the open beta.  It's more of a perk for those who are going to buy and subscribe to the game, then a free preview to anyone who wants to download the game.  If you wanted to try it before you buy it, you could preorder, play a bit of the OB, then cancel before the shipping date, but I believe they are trying to discourage this so the open beta does not turn into a free "trial" of the game.

i didnt pre-order, so i didnt download anything. u said that they will send invites when OB starts and all the ppl that pre-ordered will be playing and others will have to download it.
