so just for some fun, how do you think funcom is going to face the fact that aoc is dying, they lost alot of subs and still loosing them, the game need alot of work and investment, funcom owe money, and seems hard the way things are going to be able to get even with aoc cost, further more bringing money in from investers.

take your pick lets see what the futur brings us !

I think they should call it quits and close it down, but they wont. Most likely will allow it to limp along.

Funcom is just so stupid. I would try to do an aoc/ao tie in sub at this point both games for $15.

Since marketing is the only thing they're good at, they should kill AO and AoC, sell off Funcom to clear as much debt as possible, and then start selling magazines door-to-door.

the financial report Q2 is out, now let see the major thing i was looking at is numbres of subs, and since funcom doesnt make it easy for the public to know whats happening with official numbers, let's just guess a little.

30 june they had 415k subs, and if i remember well, at 30 june the servers were crowded enough with ppl, if we compare 30 june with august on the number of servers population, personnaly i would say 3 times less players online, which bring 415k to around 130k, and im being generous, knowing the leak isnt going to stop anytime soon, i whish this game good luck!

This is classic.

So, for a game you don't play, you know that there are 1/3rd as many players on the servers as there were on June 30th?  Did you play on June 30th?  Did you ever play?

Personally I think there are exactly as many players as there were on June 30th. 

Guess what, the evidence supports both our assertions equally, i.e not at all.

And 415/3  = 138.3.

Actually, they are getting more subs lately, gone up from 300K to 450 in 6 weeks.... And even 150K is good enough to keep a game running with good cash, look on EQ2 so the chanse of it being closed within a year is 0.

But that doesnt mean that FC shouldnt get theyre @sses moving and fix more content pronto. But still, the whole thread sounds a bit trolling, we seen polls about this for 2 months now, a lot of them. Nothing new coming up in this one either, some hate the game others loves it.

Source? Crystal ball or did they release numbers? The only way there numbers do anything except drop is because of the free (?) trial. Strange that it was released in the quarter before they have to release numbers

Edit: sorry its early I see the AoC PR machine has been busy releasing "numbers".
