Got 2 pre-orders from Target yesterday and when trying to apply the open beta codes to my husbands account and  mine  I keep getting a  "That code is invalid"  I can't find a number for customer service or tech support for Warhammer online anywhere.

Though the weird thing is that my nephew got one from Target also and he said he was able to apply it. The only difference we can see is that my codes conained the letter O and his did not.

Can someone help me out as to what to do?

maybe its not the letter O but the number zero ?

Invalid? or Cannot be used yet? I could only apply my open beta code to my beta account, the other for the in-game items cannot be used yet. If its invalid you need to go to the Mythic Entertainment website and send in a general bug report or something.

There were some codes awhile ago that were swapped around and some people misread the cards and put in the HS ...try swapping the codes around and using the HS or the Item codes see if those give you the Open Beta.

It took me a few tries with my original codes from amazon sometimes its just the system too but at this point i doubt its the system.

Also are these CE codes or Standard Edition codes?  I believe only the CE codes can be entered into the promotional slot.  All other Open Beta codes have to be entered in the Master Account system on August 15th to be registered for Open Beta.

Yes, i did already try the number 0 thinking that would have to be it... but no go

I did find an email address war-betacenter@mythic.ea.com and sent them a message but don't even know if that is the right email address for WAR. I have a master account since the DAOC days and searched and searched for any phone numbers, but can't find a WAR support number.

Hmm thats odd he could apply the Standard at All he doesn't get anything for putting it in the promotional slot that I know of *rubs chin*.

Are you sure both tickets / boxes say Standard? I knwo some stores gave out the wrong boxes & codes.  Other than that i'm not sure how to help you other than Keep trying it took me several tries months ago with my Amazon CE code. 

I'd definitly keep on the Mythic emails though too if you aren't able to enter them to your Master Account on the 15th (master accounts are the LIVE account system for Launch not the Beta Center).

Target was selling only Standard pre-orders in the store...unless these are the swapped ones?

Well since i already emailed them and not even sure if that was a correct email address..I can wait another few days. But after that I will get really upset if this is another game release fiasco as some other launches I have participated in were a mess.

But the question of the day is : Where is a customer support phone number located for WAR?

Correct.

I got instructions via email to create a master account at the "new" (old) account center after the 15th. I had my inactive-since-2005 DAOC account in there still so I logged into that one anyway.

There's a banner on the page that says you're only able to put in Closed Beta keys at this time. If someone else's OB key worked, then great -- but it won't affect anything yet anyway.

So... patience. :)

Your the first person I've heard thats had this problem to be honest most people are waiting until the 15th which is when they said the system would be up for Open Beta codes (meaning your pre empting instructions simply because 1 person slipped through the crack). 

Usually people who had problems with the CE codes were able to get it to work eventually.    There's not customer support yet the game isn't live but I'd definitly keep sending emails to their support email system.   You could post about this on Warhammer Alliance where the Dev's actually & read and post instead of a flame / troll / argumentative site.

at the bottom of the page it says "email support"  it'll probably take a few tries or patience to hear anything I imagine they get constant emails about x person not knowing how to enter their codes or password problems etc.

there letter o or the number 0 will never bee in a code it was on the war site if a 0 or an o is in ur code put in a Q

The betacenter is a different entity than the account management section and is being phased out. This is the link you are supposed to use to create your account and apply your pre-order codes:

This will allow you to create an account and apply any of the codes provided in email or boxes.

my code still doesnt work

just to be sure:  when i create a master account and it says 'Enter key or code - Please enter the code or key that you wish to activate on this account. This includes beta keys, game keys, expansions, or promotional codes.'  i have to enter only the "1. Open Beta Access (code prefix: blabla) or something else?

It shouldn't matter, as far as I can tell. Just keep in mind that if your preorder is from Target you have to change O into Q.

PUT THE DASHES (-) IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the mythic website the dashes are not required, but on the fileplanet website they are. This will fix your problem.
