I've been downloading the wow free trial for awhile now and I just noticed that I downloaded it from the americain website (i live in england) and I was wondering wether it would still be compatable with my computer? since I live in england.

It should be, but you may not get to play on european servers. Not entirely sure.

I believe the client is the same, the only difference is whether or not you register for a NA or EU account.  You should register for EU account if you want to play on the EU servers, otherwise choose an NA account.

This, and also when the game installs it will likely connect to the US patch and login servers. If you make a EU account you will have to change these addresses, which is not difficult to do. Aside from this they are likely identical.
