I am very happy that I got my invite to CB, yesterday morning. So I started the torrent, I have now been downloading for a day and a half and I'm at 31%. WOW this is soooo slow. I'm using roadrunner turbo, wich is normally smokin fast so why am I getting 14 to 60k on avg download. I tried some of the tweaks for torrent but no help. |

use utorrent, i mean honestly its so slow because people are being greedy with upload. ITS YOUR OWN FAULT PEOPLE! Took 2 days for me, leave it on during the day while your at work. |

You get what you give, what does that mean I am uploading almost twice as fast as I'm downloading, so I'm not getting what I,m giving. Hell I would be happy with an even swap. |

jeez, well at that rate, when I start downloading on the 15th with all the other open beta people I'll be lucky to play on the 20th *frown*.
Let's hope they are smart and the 15th is waaaay before open beta is supposed to begin because I guarantee that kabillions more people will be downloading with me at that point. Sigh..

I managed to download in about 12 hours...but my service provider has excellent download & upload rates. If your provider sucks wind your speed will suck wind even on a torrent. I seeded for half the day so I wasn't being greedy but im not about to burn all my upload on a torrent. |

Problem is some IPS provider while allowing a good amount of bandwith per month while downloading, only offering a fraction of that when you upload. My package for example is 20go / month in download but only 5go in upload. 48 hours after having started downloading the client i noticed that i was uploading 7-8 times more than i was downloading, so i basicly turn OFF the upload to a maxmum of 5kb/sec. I have no problem sharing, but MAN when i download at 15kb/sec and sharing what i have at 90 kb/sec i have a problem with that. I dont want to blow my monthly bandwith in the UP category just to download a freaking game. |
