Will come back to AoC if:
LFG system in-place
Casters made enjoyable
PvP system in-place

All of the writing is on the wall: scaled back classes, content not being released with live version, features not being released with live version, bloated development costs which makes for antsy publisher, competitive pressure and too long of a development cycle.

I thought 2008 was going to be the golden year for MMO's, but sadly we are witnessing many companies practicing the art of "throwing shit against the wall to see if it can stick (become the next WoW)".  Publishers and devs are hucking up hail mary's, but none of them are good passes to begin with.

Waiting for the WAR beta to open back up.

You have yet to play the game, but you say it will suck. I have played the game since Aug 2007 the game will not suck.

"Where are the rest of the village people fairy boy?" - Godslayer Caine

Played both.  WAR isn't as bad as AoC, but it's extremely over-hyped (due to being very mainstreamed) and certainly not even close to "DAoC-amazing" PvP.

LOL

Many people playing the game will disagree with you.  And the cut game issue has been covered by about 1000 other threads.  No need to debate it in another one.

LOL nice try.

 Go back to flyff.

1. Wooo 4 whole classes leaving us 20 to choose from such a huge scale back!  Most games don't offer that many and others should of offered a whole lot less at launch .. Quantity or Quality?  I'll take Quality, they said the classes were lame compared to the others so I say good riddance even if I really wanted a choppa.

2.  Content? What content? All the content promised is there..there's just a couple of zones and I don't consider zones a content loss since they're taking all the content that would of been in those zones and putting them in the 2 cities at released so ..all the content is there.

3.  Missing features?? Ok this one I Have to laugh at..there are no CUT or delayed features.  All the features promoted for the last year are there hell there are some features none of us knew about so we're getting even more than promised.  I think you should lay off the crack.

There will be people who don't like WAR but there will be more of us that DO like it.  Honestly..unless you've played it or actually WATCHED the development cycle you wouldn't say such retarded things.

Being an MMO veteran makes you nothing of importance its just a word people toss around on a daily basis to beat their chests too like a pack of animals.

Being an MMO 'veteran' myself I completely disagree with your magically made up 'predictions'  the signs aren't there.  If they were covering up things ala AoC was for months I'd be worried.  Funny how people still claim how AoC was going to be great from all the videos when all I saw in AoC's videos were Tech Demos.   I've yet to see any video from WAR as a tech demo.

Speaking as a beta tester, it's no AoC.  There is no "cut content".  If you didn't know there were thinking about those things, you would never know there were missing.

nothing feels missing or lacking in this game.

Behold! Rash of the Itch King comes in November! Quake in fear!

*Ahem*.

OH MAH GAWD DEY CUT 4 CITIEZ DAT'S LIEK 66% OF TEH CONTTENT MAN DAT'S SO MUCH WAR GONNA PHAIL. (Oops, they added SIX fortresses, and made cities Tier 5, so they really added a Tier, plus SIX fortresses which are not quite as large as cities of course but still will be very hard to take and hold.) BUT -4 + 6 = -2! LAWL.

Instead of thinking you're so smart, why not actually believe Mythic's reasons? It's okay if you never trust devs again, since yes many of them have lied, and if I'm wrong I'll admit it. But honestly people see cuts when the game is in BETA, as in "things can change". It doesn't matter how close to release or how far from release.

The point is, as long as it's in beta, things can change. Honestly, if they did this a few months ago then you'd be saying "Damn this game has 20 classes plus all the fortresses and cities, it's going to be great." So why aren't you still saying that? Because they aimed high but came a little short? They never promised us anything, no smart developer would unless they were 100% sure they could deliver.

I don't think I am smart, I know I am.  But my intelligence has nothing to do with my prediction.  WAR is going down the same path as AoC and VG (way back when that launched) by scaling back their deliverable in order to get ready for release.  Even AoC didn't remove and continents (I think VG did though).  That is all I am saying.  If WAR is trying to differentiate itself prior to release, it certainly isn't doing a very good job.  Seems like the same ol' same ol', except from a different company.
