You are living in a serious state of denial if you think people are not fleeing this game like the plague. I used to play on the Tyranny server, and worked very closely with 2 other large guilds for raiding PvE content, both of which whose ventrilo I have. Both of these guilds entire rosters are gone from Age of Conan. My guilds of 80 had 2 people stay behind to keep playing, and even they are throwing in the towel. The forums are littered with posts of guilds folding up, empty Keshetta zones. Here is a screenshot of today of the Tyranny Server Forums. This server was one of the highest pop servers in the game....
I think it speaks for itself. The one thread on this picture that isn't a thread about leaving the game is made by the leader of a guild who has been exploiting raid content and using third party programs, but has yet to receive a ban after being reported. I even gave the proof to Famine personally when he was on these forums here. They won't ban these guys cause they need the subscribers. Show's over, you can deny it all you want, but even if you are happy with the game, playing on low pop or empty servers will drive you off to greener pastures. |

Perhaps in 4 years Conan will get everything worked out and make a challenging comparison to WoW as it is today, but the people will still be gone if it is not compelling enough to retain today.

To be completey honest... I wanted this game to suceed more than anything else in this world the last year or so. New. Fresh. Innovative. I was left, however, with a sour taste in my mouth the second that people started exploiting on day 1, and nothing was done. Soon after I reached lvl 50 and realized there was nothing but empty content. I had run out of quests, grinding became the norm, etc. I can totally understand end game not being ready at launch. Honestly, I can. But when the middle portions of the game arent complete, there is a serious problem. Soon after this, I started a guild to find more people to play with. Got up to over 100 people. Got our guild city plot locked in.. one of the nicest ones in the entire game, to boot, as far as location is concerned. Then I realized, and this was my fault, that the guild city sieges were removed from the game months before. OK, I can deal with that. My bad, I'll move on. Here was the kicker... We go to build our keep, and ***POOF*** all our mats, recipes, everything , vanish.. and.. no keep. For WEEKS and WEEKS I try as the GM to get my mats back... to give my guild SOMETHING to look forward to... something for all the hard work they put in.. and nothing. I mean seriously..... the most original and integral part of the guild system in this game (which is horrible to deal with if your a GM let me tell you) and it doesnt even work right... Needless to say soon after that incident getting people to help farm levels, professions, etc, were all pointless. Why? Funcom would just make another error and take away our hard work, and not even bother replying to our cries for help. I can deal with a game in an incomplete state. Anyone who thinks a game is released 100% ready is dillusional... but for God's sake.. at least have the core mechanics of your game in order. And at the very least if that fails have a way to track these things and get the mats back to these people. I know guilds who lost EVERYTHING because of this happening to them... 2 full years, waiting patiently ever single day... collecting all of the pre order rewards, keeping up with all the stories and hype.. and yet nothing. I feel betrayed, scammed, and a little bit confused. I know one thing.. Funcom , in my eyes at least, are finished. I personally will never support this company again, and I dont care if they come out with the next best thing to peanut butter! They will never see my subscription $$$. |

The show is over for the people that post nonsense about a mass exodus of a game when its only a handful that are making this claim, you can screenshot 100 things and it still doesn't proove anything when im seeing exactly opposite of what your saying.

The guys at Funcom are delusional. When are you guys going to realize they do not care what we say as players, they don't even know what we say, because they do not read their own forums. The don't read player b logs...nothing. They just don't care. Give up on this game and what for something new. AoC could have been a great game...just like Vanguard could have been great...but unfortunately the games are totally mismanaged.  |

The thing that makes me laugh so hard is all the posting about how terrible the game is, how you were lied to and decieved, how people are fleeing the game like a plaque and yet you can't explain why if it soooooooo bad and allll these problems exist are there still people playing the game and why there are people that disagree with you. So you can screenshot and complain all that you want, but fact is there is just a handful of people that hate the game and a majority that still plays and that disagrees with you...look around the forums if you think that I am the only person here that thinks this way..... This is my last post with this thread because it really isn't going anywhere, ive realized that this isn't the only forums for mmo's for 1 and I also realized that I am wasting my time with people that really have no clue or inside concrete information about the status of this or any other game.... Have fun talking to each other........ |

They are still playing! Look at the picture of the Tyranny forums, that picture was taken TODAY. The PM with Famine was from earlier this month, and all of this has been sent to the exploits email @funcom weeks before this. Do you think the moon landing was fake too? |
