Hey, i recently got some corsair DDR2 XMS2 1024mb x2 ram pieces.

i fit them in all fine, and when i turned on my computer it noticed there was new software, but it said it was unable to install. it said check the web for a solution, but nothing came up.

can anyone help?

I''m No Sellout

you dont need software for ram.

does your windows recognize that you have 2 gigs of ram now?

i assume so if you are talking to us on the PC with the new ram.

if using vista

click the start icon, lower left

than right click 'my computer' and choose 'properties'

you should see your PC info there.

when you say it said, 'new software' do you mean 'new hardware' ?

i dont have exp. in installing ram in vista but it should be plug and play. than again, vista is nuts with its hardware changes so i heard.

you should be ok.
