I've watched Darkfall for a long time and I know how big the fanbase for this game is. This game is very anticipated. Yet I don't understand why it is not making the top 10!! Why is Darkfall not making top 10? I constantly see new posts about this game. The forums are some of the busiest. Yet it doesn't make top 10. How can those other games be more interesting than following Darkfall?
I can understand why people watch Warhammer and why the watched Age of Conan. World of Warcraft has a big playerbase, so naturally those click a lot.
But, Age of Armor? Come on. Give me a break.
Sword of the new world?!?!?
City of heroes?? Why would there be a need to take a look at City of Heroes? Nothing new is happening in City of Heroes.
LoTro has a lot of Lord of the Rings fans checking it out.. Sure, the IP plays a big role here.
Okay.. Everquest 2 is there too.
Seriously though..
Make that stupid list top 15 or make a new list of top 10 under development instead of mixing them.
And make a quick reply window already....
I don't understand the big interest in those other games. Darkfall is the only title providing the essence of Virtual Reality and MMORPGs the way they are meant to be played.
Darkfall takes the old genre invented by Ultima Online, blends it with Counter-Strike and Quake, and takes it the step further. Mmorpgs have not been delivering for the last 4 years. I know that.
MMOS just haven't delivered.
What is the prospect of anticipating AION? What was the prospect of anticipating Age of Conan?
When will you fools learn that graphics and old mechanics aren't enough?!
You will die of boredom in Aion and lag just like in Age of Conan.
What about this Warhammer Online. That's something else. Real vs. Realm was always a good idea. But, 3 years in development? How much depth do you guys really expect from Warhammer Online? .. Warhammer Online is trying to ride the wave of World of Warcraft, Just like Funcom and Sony Online Entertainment. ..
It's not the way to go. Why do so many of you anticipate worthless clones with little new features. Those features are nothing. They are a joke, just like the combat in Age of Conan is. Look guys. Anticipate Darkfall Online instead. That is more worth your time. Once this game comes out you will all have something real to play. Something NEXT-GENERATION, something you will want to play forever. |

Glad to see you're excited about Darkfall. Anyways, I'm not looking forward to it and I'm not expecting anything from it. I think the real point here is Warhammer has only been in development for 3 years but it has a lot more to show than Darkfall. Not saying I like Warhammer, just using that as an example because you used it in yours. All of those games have shown more promise than Darkfall. I'm not saying the game is vaporware or some big scheme to do w/e people are saying these days. I'm just saying if those amazing features are anywhere near completion, why don't they show us how superior Darkfall is? I honestly believe the answer isn't vaporware. I think it's just that the game isn't anywhere close to meeting the promises and if they were to release a demo of some sort, it would just destroy the games reputation. I can understand it taking 7 years for an indie company to develop their first game but I don't expect it to live up to the hype. Probably better if you didn't expect that much either. Hype is always a bad thing, don't get all crazy about a game you've never played. |

What I don't understand is why this is important, espcially considering that it really is up to MMORPG.com to decide what should be ont the top 10 list. Darkfall is one of those unknowns since we really don't have that much solid information (in the form of movies and screenshots). It's not something I'd put on a list, unless that list was "look forward to" or "maybe in the future if this game releases it will be awesome" lists. For now Darkfall will continue to be a forum MMO until they release this grand video this month. Depending on how that goes I think you might start to see Darkfall on top of a lot of people's minds including the top 10 list. I'm not bashing you for this, I just don't see why you needed to post a thread about it. Darkfall is a game I've been following for quite sometime (as have you) but I still have my serious doubts about the game. This movie, like I said, is probably the game's last hope and if it fails to deliver than I will lose all hope for the future of MMOs. |

I was going to post my original reply. Then I thought about what I was going to say. Then realized it would get me temp banned yet again. You need to send a PM to either Isane or SignusM to learn how to properly discuss Darkfall. Your post is simply put, very narrow minded. It reeks of personality that lacks the ability to realize something as simple as "Different strokes for different folks." |

Darkfall will make AOC look like a quality piece of software. You couldn't pay me to keep tabs on that game and I feel bad for the people who will buy it if they ever get it done enough to release. |

I've noticed lately the trolls tune is changing from "vaporware vaporware" to "its going to suck when it comes out" And its probably not very hyped for two reasons. Most Darkfall fans think this site is a steaming pile (to some degree they're correct) and aren't bothered to come here to defend it, waste of time, the game will speak for itself. (I personally find it fun to prove vaportrolls wrong) The other reason is there are so many dedicated Darkfall haters that they rate it 1 over and over with different accounts. |
