Cowards die many times before they truly perish, yet the valiant only taste death but once.

A outstanding community.

I have met more mature people in this game then all other games put together which is about 6-8 MMO's now.

You dont get the whining 8 year olds nor the idiot adults. If you do then its 1 in 10000000.

Maybe everyone else disagrees but i havent played in 2 months and i miss my old pals back on landroval.

Currently Playing:
Lord of the rings online

Have played:
Vanguard~saga of heroes
EVE online
City of Heroes

The community in-game is pretty good. The monster play side isn't much to write home about though. However, the official LOTRO forums are nothing but whiners and crybabies.  AoC had the same problem, although their forums are an absolute cesspool (and their game is a piece of shit, so that doesn't help either). I hope that newer MMOs follow WAR, and not have official forums... all they do is give potential players a poor taste of the game community.

LoTRO does have a good community.  It;s nice to play an MMO where I don't fear PuGs.  I've done most of my book quests in PuGs, and I can only think of one or two that sucked.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

"Eye for an Eye"

to me it is how mmo' should be, with great community and people who can have fun without demoralizing others :) . I always like it when people randomly role play with me, it is a lot of fun

I have played at least 15 MMOs lost count along time ago honestly. LOTRO is by far the best community i ve seen, and not by a little amount, i m talking a huge amount :) All in all the game is hugely enjoyable because 1 it s a great game and 2 the community.

The game does have a decent community but that's not to say there aren't some bad apples mixed in, which I have come across.

I am glad the OP is happy with his community,i feel it is very important.I have literally quit WOW twice because well the game was boring, but more so the community was utter crap.Weird i haven't seen much of the community lately but re rolling a new player i have been lucky to see but one player on rare occasions wandering past. The chat is faded out so perhaps that's a good thing i don't see the nonsense.I found a LOT of the immature players must have filtered into EQ2 because there community was as bad as WOW's was only it wasn't that way in the past.

No doubt believing you about LOTR community but i also found FFXI had the best i have ever seen.Of course after time and  new ways for the immature to get free trials and free passes they start to infest all games. To best judge a community is in it's first year after that you get those game hoppers that do nothing but spam chat with BS.

I guess we can one up LOTR and FFXI for great communities if nothing else :D.

Lotro and FFXI communities are amazing.

As a new player in FFXI i had a newbie tag.. people would randomly stop me, give me money, then ask if i needed help.

Lotro's community is great because everyone is pretty relaxed.

WoW's community can be a lot of fun. Depends on your server. People on my server (Bloodhoof) would randomly pseudo-RP about gnomes, eating gnomes, hugging/kissing/dancing with gnomes. Was a lot of fun. :)

“Game Experience May Change During Online Play” is about ESRB ratings, not changing game content!

I agree, the community is excellent. I always feel happy and relaxed when I'm playing. There seems to be a minimum of drama.

I'll also agree with the person who pointed out that the CoH community is excellent. I've made a lot of friends over there, mostly through pugging. Pugging is usually a pleasant experience.
