You have not lived until you''ve found something worth dying for.

nah, the forums may have hastened the destruction... the game/devs destroyed it.

Not forums, bad reputation. It happens to most games. If there was no line of communication between players how long could Funcom have held people captive in their web of lies? Not everyone knows the idustry well enough to read between the lines. I myself picked up on tiny hints and evidence that the game was going to be a mess, and stopped being excited for it a year or two ago. Its sadly happened before. The game destroyed itself.

90% of the so called "hype" was passed along through forums.  99% of the "don't play this game" shit is passed along through forums.  How many people would have actually believed and expected a giant sparkling diamond the day it was released had it not been for forums?

TACO! TACO! TACO!

i cant say what killed this game, or if it is killed, or just mortaly wouned, but yeah, the forums are a scary place.  almost always good for a laugh though

the missing link in a chain of destruction.

All spelling and typographical errors are based soely on the fact that i just dont care. If you must point out my lack of atention to detail, please do it with a smile.

it doesnt matter, the outcome would have been the same... the state of the game is the same wether it was hyped or not. Also, most people think for themselves. So all those "dont play this game" post made no difference either. People decide for themselves.

In today's saturated market AoC was not ready for primetime...plain and simple.

These days a game better have it's sh!t together* at launch or it's gonna tank...plain and simple.

*Promised features, stability, mechanics, customer service, etc.
