WAR (Warhammer Online)

First of all, this wont realy be a "constructive" post, more of a "what's going on in your mind" type of post :o)

So with release comming closer, more and more people guessing at when it will release and more and more people badmouthing the game, beta testers are sitting there with foaming mouths going "wait for it... wait for the nda..." and i was wondering... When they finaly announce the NDA drop date (and they prolly will in the next newslette but we'll see about that)... how will you guys feel? And especially how will you feel 1-2 days before the NDA drop?

I can imagine it now... a picture of trained bloodhounds barking and growling and foaming while the owner is pulling them on the leash and slowly reaching for the release so he can say "go get them boy!"

Am i close? Or is it breaking the NDA to answer this?

I myself have so much to say about it. But I can tell people not to worry about anything.

Personally I feel that the game will be able to speak for itself and I feel no need to try and defend it.  I also know that once release hits I probably won't be posting here very often as my free time will most likely be spent kicking stunties in da jibblies.

It's human nature to worry... ever read "wizzards first rule" ? hehe

But it must feel awfull hearing people speak nonsense and not being able to say anything except for "i'm bound by the NDA"... at least that's how i felt in the other MMORPGS i tested... even tho i must say... i remember the anarchy online expansion...  2 weeks before release... half of the item icons were placeholders, almost half of the zones were not there or had no mobs in them... So AoC being unfinished was realy no surprise to me hehe...

But i just had a chat with a friend of mine and it lead to the "open group system" and since he was a funcom fanboi and then funcom disapointed him all he had to say was "let's see if it's ingame"... so i said "but... look at comicon or E3... there are people USING it"... "yea well funcom said dx10 is implemented till they released"... so what can i tell someone like that? go find a leaked beta video? *shrug*

There is a beta.

I am in it.

As soon as the NDA is dropped, ill answer any questions I can.

ya that ability is kinda cool ... on the other hand it's always fun to watch a big bad orc get WTFPWNED by a stuntie after he does kick him in the jibblies .  :)

I have been following this game since beofre mytic had the IP and the previous devs had it taken away from them by Games Workshop as they had nothing to show for it except some pretty artwork.

Now as this game already has had one false start Games Workshop isn't going to want to damage their IP by having a half finished game released at the 2nd attempt and given that previous disasters such as tabula rasa and age of conan were released due to lack of funds this is more unlikely for Mythic as they have EA bank rolling them who frankly have plenty of cash.

I am not in beta but I do have a pre-order and I can't wait for this game and with 6 weeks to go I cannot wait.
