Before anyone flames me... I have never played AoC, I have it on order, I will give it a try, But I for one am getting sick of all these "AoC Fails" "AoC sucks"

AoC i'm willing to give it a try, If I don't like it, I wouldn't spam it all over the forums, That's just childish. If you don't like it, Keep it to yourself, I visit these forums like virtually everyday and I see ALOT of AoC flames and i' getting annoyed with them.

that's not going to happen.   Lots of people left wow for it, enough for blizzard to mention it.   However by blizzards statistics 40% were resubbed to their game at the end of the month.  

By my sarcastic guess the other 20% moved on to multiplayer shooters, 20% have decided to not bother with multiplayer games anymore, 5% are playing AoC, 4% gave up video games, and 1% decided to jump off a bridge.

When you look at your box when you get it, you will notice it has Direct X 10 on it.  Direct X 10 functionality not only is not in the game, but will not be in until somewhere in 2009 if the game still has anyone left playing.  It is one example of being misled by Funcom that you will soon be familiar with.

That's the problem. Instead of people who've never played it flaming, most flamers are people who've played it and quit. So, when AoC stops being a bad game, the flames will be quenched. To some people the game WAS what they wanted, until they discovered it was broken and unfinished. Those who are still playing tend to steer clear of forums altogether and just play the game, because they know they're playing a broken product - but they're having fun and that's okay.

remember guys, unless you have something good to say, STFU!  because only good opinions are right.  if something is bad, make sure to keep it to yourself so other people won't find out and can waste their money.

There is a very good reason you are seeing this sort of thing on all AoC forums on various sites.

 AoC is a great game, I have two 80's and tho I admit it isn't finished, I still love it.

I got AoC the day it came out, i dont feel cheated, lied to and im still playing AoC enjoying it (No im not a fan boy). But look what I think the OP is trying to get across is if you dont like a game its fine but dont spam about. AoC is a good game but it is buggy and sure dosent have DX10 but it has awesome potental.

Ah yes, my wording was a little odd. I knew that there will always be flamers but when I said "quenched" I meant as in the flames won't be in-your-face every time you go to an AoC forum. They'll still be there of course but they won't be to the extent that you're sick of. There's so much material for burning when it comes to AoC! First it started with the big things, then as people got more and more sick of it the little things caught on fire too. Flames everywhere ahhh!

Welcome to an open gaming forum, where everyone has the right to rant, vent, bash, discuss any game they want as long as they don't break the rules.
 

I suggest you would find the official forums better, as the opinions of those who have been screwed over by the game and Funcom do not last long before Funcom deletes their threads so players who can only handle sunshine and roses don't have to be offended.

If i was you, I would just ignore everything you see here or there or anywhere. You have commited yourself now to the game. Make the most of it and have fun.

Why come here and even talk about a game you have yet to play... really.... it might not be in your best interest if you dont like it after a while.

Seriously when i start any game i avoid forums like the plague, I only go there initially to see the general flavour of the forum and to get an idea of a class i have already got a few ideas about.

To go to a general forum, is just rediculous. Even more rediculous is to come here and defend something you know nothing about since its still on order.

Please do not post any further until you have had at least past the tortage experience. Even then you will still not know what all this fuss is all about.

Freedom of speech. Though i do believe people are taking the hate of this game too far. People do need to get over it and find something better to do with their free time. The thing is, people like to express their opinion about games and if that means crying over it then by all means they do it. Just let it be and hopefully they will cry themselves to sleep.
