[ INTERNATIONAL POLL ]

US Presidential Candidate Facts
Barack Obama: 46 years old. He is half-black/half-white. His middle name is Hussein. (erhem...Saddam Hussein?)

John McCain: 71 years old. Lost the 2000 Republican Nomination to George W. Bush. (Sore loser?)

Ralph Nader: (correct spelling) 74 years old. First Arab American Presidental Candidate. (Arab? Without a name like Barack Hussein Obama?)

User Requested Candidate Facts
Bob Barr:
59 years old. Became a Libertarian in 2006. He wanted to impeach Bill "The Pimp" Clinton. (suspected to steal votes from McCain, because he was a former Republican)

Cobra Commander: Age Unknown. Formerly a used car salesman, he somehow became the antagonist of the G.I. Joe. (yes, one of the most dangerous men in the world was a used car salesman)

Presidential Nominations

Barack Obama (Democrat)
John McCain (Republican)
Ralf Nadar (Independant)

First of all, it's Ralph Nader.

Secondly, Bob Barr isn't on your poll even though he's made the ballot in 48 states.  He's the nominee for the Libertarian Party, America's third largest political party in both the number of supporters and the number of elected officials.

If you don't know anything about American politics please stop making inane threads like this.  Btw, you're one sentence bio for the candidates is simply atrocious.  You should be embarassed and ashamed for such a display of ignorance.

That is a bad poll.  You left out a pretty obvious choice.  "Not voting"  One of the elections where I really think I should be inspired.  I am not.

To be blunt. Who cares about an international poll.  If they do not live in the USA or own a business in the USA.  Who the heck cares what someone outside this country thinks.  Sorry to sound rude.  But it is the honest truth.  I sure as heck wouldn't wet my pants for some civilian from their country.   I do respect others opinions.  But at the end of the day we have to live with these people.  Well that is unless they become the target but thats another can of worms.

Don't even get me started on this Around The World Tour.  Which I am willing to bet is what inspired you to make such a poll.  Media and media alone is pushing this man along.  I will be highly amused if  McCain wins the vote.  Exspecially with the backing Obama has in his pocket.  I think that would be a good reason for a kegger.

Zorvan,  I will see your Mickey Mouse and raise you an Rev. Sharpton.

PS.  If that guy in Iraq says he wants us gone one more time.  I wish Americans had the balls to back out of every city, back into the oil fields.  And lets just see how long this guy and his staff survive.

The reason international polls are important is because of a thing called 'foreign relations', which has been on a seven year hiatus. Citizens of other nations have an interest in American politics because our policies affect the entire globe.

Obama is a media darling, there's no denying it. He will continue to get the lion's share of media coverage and McCain will continue to be pissed about it. McCain is doing the wrong thing to combat it, however. Whenever he gets a minute in front of the camera he takes a potshot at Obama, instead of discussing his own policies. Since Obama has taken the posture of changes in the political campaigning process, and the people have largely agreed that it is time for such changes, the backlash from McCain's personal blasts is intensified.

McCain sucks, but he's about 10 times better than the thought of a president Obama.  Obama scares the crap out of me with how many people support him without knowing a thing about him..he is the quintissential talking suit with a whole lot of nothing to say.

There's something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be, desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety?

The Real Problem tho is We have No Effing Idea WTH Obama is gana Do.. If you Watch McCain you Have a Idea what he is gana do... Kinda silly to Point at Mccain and say He needs to talk about his Way of Campaining and we Still have no idea What Obama is gana Do, Side from Hike our Taxes, Screw our Econamy even More by not letting us Drill, And pull us Outa Iraq Whather we win or lose.(Point that We should NOT have been in there aside)

I Mean Really WTheck is he gana do as Prez?

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

 Your right...

I guess my point is.  Is it appropriate for someone not in a position to actually be speaking for / attempting to speak for the majority?  We don't know if he represents the majority. =)

To clarify what specificly erks me is...  When he states "We Americans"  Or "America will stand by such and such country no matter what"  Specifically the second was towards Israel.      Hes not in a position to speak for squat yet..

Chill out, Ikavadas. If you knew anything about politics you would know that there will be about 6 parties on the national ballot; the OP is picking the top three.  Stop trolling the OP because he left out minor party members. Jeebus I swear some people get their panties in the tighest knot.

Minor party members?  He's put Ralph Nader on his poll and left out the third largest political party in America in terms of supporters and elected officials currently holding office.  If Ralph "Corvair" Nader can make the list then Bob Barr sure as hell should.

you missed my point.  You were completely trollish and ugly to the OP because of his post.

Just don't put down and troll a guy for making a poll because he forgot to add every single minor party affliation in his poll. That's just not warranted and immature.

Also, just on a side note. Bob Barr is a third party minority and will probably get 0.002% of the vote so I can see why he did not include him in the vote and traditionally you have a Republican, Democrat, and Independent and the three largest parties...so I can see why he placed Nader in the poll. Here are other minority members running for President in 08:

  • Boston Tea Party: Charles Jay
  • Constitution Party: Chuck Baldwin
  • Green Party:  Cynthia McKinney
  • Libertarian Party: Bob Barr
  • New American Independent Party: Frank McEnulty
  • Socialism and Liberation Party: Gloria Riva
  • Prohibition Party: Gene Amondson
  • Reform Party: Ted Weill
  • Socialist Party: Brian Moore
  • Socialist Workers Party: Roger Calero
  • Facist Party: Jackson Grimes
  • Independent: Alan Keyes
  • Independent: Frank Moore
  • Independent: Ralph Nader
  • Independent: Kelcey Wilson

So needless to say it would have been unproductive to add 15 additional entries to his poll

Obama promises change without explaining how he will overcome the entrenched interest that have had the US in a stranglehold for decades, wave a magic wand?  He would have to fight his own party to get his own way can anyone say lameduck?

Ralf who?
McCain who has a record of being a liberal Republican
These choices almost make Hilary look good.
I will have to choose none of the above.

I'm in a bit of a conondrum because I don't like EITHER candidates so I don't know what I will do. I Definetely don't like Obama, and yet, I can't see this country being run any better by McCain either.

We all know there isa better chance the USA will adopt the chinese flag over the stars and strips before the elect barrack obama into office in 2009.

The man has been refered too as a terrorist, and constantly quote un quote accedntly called Osama by most media outlets. And that new york times cover just shows the frame of midn most US citizens are in when it comes down too it.

More people will vote against obama because his middle name is hussian then people will vote against mccain for looking like he is just waiting for his pacemaker to give up.

The argument that you just don't know what barrack is going to do when he gets into office is a ridiculously stupid one, i bet you all knew George Bush was going to throw you guys into an 8 year war, with no exit strategy, and drop the value of the American dollar so low that Canadians don't even want it, and virtually embarrass the American country with most foreign diplomats he has met with across the world. And demonstrate that not only is the average American stupid enough to elect a moron to lead them, but elect that same moron twice after realizing he was in fact a moron. the dude talks like a comic book protagonist for crying out loud.. the guy still says "Evildoers" is that even a word?

Whatever barrack does in office will be a thousand times better then whatever the "decider" has already done.

Life... is the shit that happens while you wait for moments that never come...
