This was my first Mmo but I haven't been back in game probably since about 2004. I would imagine lots of changes have been made but back then there were 3 servers, 2 pvp and 1 pve . I played on the LoA server which was pvp.

Basically its a free for all with castle seiges thrown in, you kill someone you go red but I forget what the item loss was on death. I never pked anyone but I got my arse handed to me a few times just grinding away minding my own business hehe. If you went red you would have to work the karma off, also there was a way to make your name blue which would mean if someone pked you , you would have little to no chance of item loss on death ( If I remember right ) but you still lose some xp% .

Lineage 1 if i read the lore right , takes place 100 hundred years after Lineage 2 . The grind is more harsh then in Lin 2 at least back then, maybe they made some changes to make it easier.

I wish I could give more info as this was my favorite Mmo but so much time has passed.

Alright thanks man, I have of the LoA server but have yet to know what the difference is between regular. I currently play Lineage 2 and all servers are fully PvP so don't know how the PvE server would be.
