LoTRO is pretty quick, and it seems that AoC is pretty speedy as well from what I've heard. Planetside doesn't have "leveling" per se....you advance by getting more certifications, but from day one, you can be pretty strong (e.g. you can still make one shot sniper kills). |

Myst Online: URU Live. No levels, no skills, no numerical advancement whatsoever. It's probably too different for you, though, and it's comatose anyway. |

Welcome to level-based MMOs which dominate the market. |

Looking for an MMORPG without significant levelling sounds strange. Maybe you mean just MMOG? The term "MMORPG" has it's "RPG" part from Computer RPGs, where one of the core ideas and goals of the game is significant character development through achievements, meaning you're not supposed to be powerful when you start out but work your way up - over time. I'll suggest Planetside (an MMOFPS) or WWII Online (MMO War Simulation Game), or a game with a different kind of improvement / achievement style like Eve, Neocron or Ultima Online. Maybe CoX would be an option too, though I haven't played it in ages so not sure about the levelling speed. |

I agree with the last poster. A key aspect to MMORPGs is the character development. It, and the saearch for items, is the element that keeps people logging in. |
