There's been an awful lot of contention and animosity hit these boards lately in light of the KOTOR announcement. Tbh, I'm just excited about it, and relieved to think of playing a new StarWars MMO offered by people that I happen to really respect. Honestly, I think it's just good news for StarWars fans and videogame fans alike. Nice going Bioware, can't wait to see what you come up with :) |

It makes you wonder why SOE/Lucas bother to keep SWG going. It really is time for a new Star Wars MMO that can offer a level of immersion made possible by today's computing power open to developers, and broadband being common place now. If I were going to make a Star Wars MMO, I'd use Planetside as a blueprint to base how the battles will be. That merged with a deep RPG side would make a cracking Star Wars MMO.

It will be interesting to see what Bioware can pop out. I for one look forward to a Star Wars game being crafted by a company with a modicum of competence.

I dont even know why they try, Star Wars fans are some of the most finnicky people on Earth. Making a star wars game that appeals to that crowd is like trying to please your mother in law. No matter how hard you try, there will be bitching. |

Im happy because it will likely mean the death blow for Star Wars Galaxies. It means victory for the players who watched their hard work tossed aside with the NGE. |
