Everyone says Warlocks are over powered, especially in reference to a mage.

if we were like Animists from DAOC then they could complain.

I was remembering the other day how AOE grinding was really invented in DAOC.  i used to help my friend who was an animist pull mobs back to his mushrooms and we'd kill them multiple mobs at one time, reminds me of WoW type AOE Grinding.

Like from a pally and mage combo.

Mages are better at AOE grinding than Warlocks, and frankly so are paladins, I kinda thing the ability to kill so many targets at once is more over powered than being able to heal yourself the slightest bit.

What do you think, is AOE grinding something NO class in ANY game should be able to do?

Warlocks should be weak for the most part but capable of completely destroying anything in sight for short moments of time.

If AoE grinding should be included or not depends to a large extent on how the game is laid out. As an example if AoE farming wasn't possible in Guild Wars there would be no chance to actually farm stuff. In WoW on the other hand where one mob provides much more experience and a bigger challenge AoE grinding is quite overpowered. Depending on how strong and how big a challenge it is to kill one monster AoE grinding/farming should be everything from impossible to a must.

Aoe grinding have its Advantages and Disadvantages. take a look at WYD's foema ( mage class type  ) they can attack a lot of monster while you are away but the disadvantage is that they cant focus on a single monster and keeps on changing target. Not to mention that their AOE's are not those "1 HKO type of AOE's"

i believe that a game will not be complete without those AOE-user's...

Its quite essential for a game to have a 1 or more AOE users class.

using AOE also develops team play since a tank will pull mobs to the AOE of the AOE user.

even though AOE user can kill lots of mobs in a time.. they suffer to some consequences since most of them are physically weak.

Fine what about a paladin?

my 2nd job to 70 on WoW was a Prot Pally

We are CHEATERS!

straight up not fair

I can AOE tank for other Warlocks who are just spamming Seed  of corruption while mages are spamming arcane explosion and blizzard.

Poor Druid and Warrior tanks.
