"Yes and the devs are doing a great job"
A lot of content missing at release but now it's perfect for a new player. Polished and nice game. Content for all levels. Housing, fun PVP....
Prefer Vanguard (classes are really fun, world is huge and impressive, craft is really perfect and diplomacy is really interesting) but NOW Lotro has a lot of things to propose. Changed my mind about Lotro when Turbine said Moria was the 1st addon. We can trust Turbine, these guys are serious, even I prefer Peter Jackson's "vision" of Lord of the rings.
Maybe you should better wait for Book14. |

Great game, but it's not for everyone. If you're looking for a super fast paced, action packed WoW-clone with spinning characters and over the top particle effects from weapons and abilities...you won't find it here. If you're looking for an immersive, detailed, story driven and quest driven game that is about as solid as they come with frequent updates, developers who listen, and an expansion soon...try the trial and go from there. Good luck. |

I didnt vote in the poll but it really depends on what you like in your game ..... LOTRO has some nice things in the game (graphics, quests mainly) but it isnt real challenging and gets boring after a few weeks.....Theres alot of running/riding around and if youre not into quests I dont recommend it......I played all 7 classes to 30+ but after level 35 or so just couldnt stand playing any of them anymore.....I heard some of the end game stuff is fun (rift for one) but it was just too boring for me to keep going......

I've been playing LoTRO since open beta, and I still think it's a blast. I want lifer after subscribing for six months, and I don't regret it a bit. I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us. |

Yea 35-40 isnt as much fun as most parts of the game. But it went quite smoothly and fast for me. Simple gaming plan makes it much more bearable. Dont play for like 3 days in a row then get a grp of kinmates ( the big bad type full rift, lvl 50 and organised) and just rape quests. Rinse and repeat O and no you wont be ridiculed for using a burg in pvp, seen a troll (pvmp super elite special class ) run away from 3 burgs crying like a girl. Got to warn you though, Burglar as a first char might be a bit rough, they only get reall interesting around lvl 30. If your nto a very experienced mmo player and cant play much I'd say take a hunter (pewpewpew), guardian (tank), lm (sorta mage/druid) or champion (support/dps/sencond tank aggro holder) which are easier to start with. But if your a more intense gamer lvling a burg shouldn't be a problem.
