Seems like the flood of cancellations from bugs/missing content and blatant marketing lies are taking their toll. FC share price has almost halved in just a few weeks.

In case you're haven't already cancelled, well pretty soon they won't have enough money left to pay people to fix this broken game. I'm sure it won't stop them from making more false promises though...

"I don''t care! I''m gonna eat somebody."

Could it be the MMO player base is finally catching up to the real world and demanding a product they paid for?

"nerf rock, paper is working as intended."

Actually this is what is going on on the real world.

There is a stock market crisis going on & you should really take external investment factors into account before predicting the demise of Funcom just yet.

Then again, that seems to be the only way for 'Hatebois' to get their kicks.

If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?

You're gonna have to forgive me for not taking the "hateboi" bait here Magus, Fact is, the game was released to early. Might have been the suits upstairs, or Investors on Wall Street. Point is, AoC was not finished, needed more time in the oven and they relied on the typical idiot MMO gamer to pay the bills while they floundered trying to finish it once the "horses were out of the barn".

I don't think FC will go under because of this fiasco, but can anyone really have confidence in a company that lies, misleads, misdirects, and spins so? Would I invest in a company that courts such bad word of mouth and (lets face it) a shoddy product? No.

Once again, you may or may not be correct. All I was saying was that the usage of current stock market statistics in the middle of a 'Bear Market' is not necessarily a reliable indicator.

You are of course entitled to your opinions about shoddy products, we shall just have to see how many people agree with you in the end. For the time being though, the endless parade of predictions of doom based on misuse of statistics is just plain boring.

Hehe, I don't find it boring or I wouldn't be taking the time to argue with you about it!

The market does fluctuate day to day, I won't say the drop is due to one game, I will say that it, along with all the other circumstantial evidence is that many gamers are sick of paying to beta games...finally!

Personally, I would love to see at least two MMOs released that are worthy of release. For God's sake! We are on the same side in a way. More quality releases equals more choice. Lately, MMOs are a wasteland of broken, buggy, unfinished content. AoC happens to be the best, most recent example.

Finally something I can agree with you on. I would also love to see MMOs that are released without these sorts of issues, and AoC certainly has more than it's fair share of them.

With MMOs though as with all other choices of entertainment, it's just down to personal taste which is frequently about having to choose from a selection of imperfect
