After years of always lingering around with the idea of trialing Neocron hel since CU first hit in SWG but something else always coming up another game or RL.
Couple of weeks ago i decided to give it a try but wooot the servers being moved great niceley timed by me. Today i see its back up so i decide to sign up after fighting through the german paypal page it takes you to i await my password 3 hours later and nothing so I put my username and email in and ask for it to send new password but I dont exist well thats feckin strange since i have a receipt from paypal. I go through the whole procedure again with a different email address and guess what exact same result. have emailed the account@neo address 6 hrs ago and nothing from them yet.
I try to post on the forum but it doesnt allow me for what reason i have no clue. the player community seems friendly enough and are actively trying to get people into the game but it appears as though the developers dont realy give a crap if its this hard for someone to get a 10 day trial to see if its worth buying. |

I cant even get a free trial registration going. No matter what form of payment I click..it either takes me to a identical page OR takes me to a point where I agree to there terms and agreements. After I agree and hit continue, not a dmn thing happens.

The game isn't broke, the publisher went broke, there are threads on the official forums that explain this. It won't affect the game or Black Prophecy their next big mmo project Yes there are issues with some things in Neocron, But I'm sooo over them... Till the issues with the payment providers are fixed, Neocron IS FREE. Sick of playing Entropia Universe? Want to quit, but don't want your hard earned money to vanish? Give your items to ME :-) |

Wait how does that work? The publisher went broke yet they have enough money for there next big mmo project? Please explain. Btw its only free to people who already play the game. I cant give it a free trial like I would like to. |

Guys, you should check either the "Neocron 2.2 update info and status" or "Account" threads. There should be enough information in either of those threads to help you get started. I've also posted my registration process there. Just to make a long story short. North American region gamer here... basically C2P and PayPall did not work for me. Had to go to a 7/11 and buy "The Ultimate Game Card" (10 dollars each, I needed 4 as the game costs around 32 Euros). From the NA region I could only use PayByCash w/ the Ultimate Game card. Also, I think C2P and PayPall don't work as the company has gon under insolvency (god I wish AIG did, lol) and reoganized itself. After a very tedious method of registration I played the game and loved it. I liked that this MMORPG has Cyberpunk elements (I.e., special implants for your character, and sci_fi city environment... reminded me a little of BladeRunner at the beginning). The only thing ppl might not like would be that the graphics are a bit dated, as they remind me a little bit of Half-life. However, because it's an FPS MMORPG, and is both class and skill-based charactar progression, and also the fast pvp gaming, as well as a huge world for pve lovers, I think this game has a broad appeal to mass market. Again if you don't mind the old-school graphics, but want to try an MMO with a huge world and interesting class/skill set MMO with a cyberpunk/sci_fi environment, it's worth the trouble registering. |

I dont see a point in using a creditcard anymore for online games. I just go to walmart, buy an "Ultimate game card" and use that since it works for neocron. and i believe it gives you 2 months of play per card.
