In-game: Toxilium

I give high props to this dev team as after a little over a year of release, they still manage to keep a very high quality game with loads to do and things to appeal to people. LotRO is never the topic of conversation for "What Not to Do in MMOs" or was never a gigantic troll/fanboi-baiter such as WoW or AoC. The game runs silky smooth on max (50+ FPS on graphics that can challenge AoC), a very informative and communicative dev team who know what they're doing, and an overall fun experience, which what MMOs should be.

The only other game I can thinking of coming close is CoX, or City of Heroes/Villains. Although NCSoft seems to be struggling lately, so CoX is slipping behind LotRO.

Now I am not a LotRO fan boy. I do acknowledge the game can get boring sometimes (like every single game on Earth) and the occasional bug, but I just feel like these devs need credit where it's due.

The following list was determined from quality of content, graphics, dev team and fun factor.

Best released MMOs imo: LotRO, CoX, EVE

On a sidenote, I'm thinking of returning to LotRO after a few months off because of Age of Garbage. I don't know if anything major has been added or whatnot, but just need to know if servers had shifted. Like what server is currently the best server in terms of population (preferably medium to high) and role-playing community. I played on Brandywine last time I had a sub.

Those who dance
are judged insane
by those who can''t
hear the music.

And let's not forget the helpful and mature community as well.

Landroval(sp) is the server I play on and I think it has a good population and it is a the unoffical role-playing server.

Yea I agree.. I guess this are the reasons for LotrO being the top-ranked MMO on this site... A very polished game with a great launch and with huge content updates coming regulary! And the devs are not just adding a new raid every few months, they are alwys coming up with new systems and new feautures like the Battlefield instances coming in book 14 soon!

I really have high hopes for Mythic to do the same thing! And so far I think they are doing a great job with WAR... I just hope that MoM and WAR doenst release to close to eachother because I want to enjoy them both :)
