try having a look at this link it will give you further links to all the basic information you need to start:

also, this link

will lnik you to a fan run forum where you can find out a great deal of info.

As things stand they have no yet implemented the Cryengine, although it is slated to be up and running sometime this year.  (tbh that could mean anytime this year  )

1 important thing to take into consideration is that this is not a game where you will get instant gratification if all you want is to quest for a few weeks and then run around showing off what gear you have and what top quests you have done.  This isn't that kind of world.

The very best thing to do is read up a good deal; remember that at the end of the day real money is involved so people can be ruthless, they can be absolute arseholes..... fortunately most of the community are mature gamers who love the community and the social aspects offered.

There are people who have invested huge sums and are certainly leading the way when it comes to integrating gaming and MMO's into real world businesses.  Shopping malls, in-game video news services and nightclubs set up in peoples apartments, all the way up to the massive nightclub in space where people party and hunt (not at same time, well mostly )

People do knock the game, and I agree it can be as frustrating as hell at times, but played sensibly and with some knowledge of the game it can be an awesome experience.
