Aragon, can you actually name any of those other companies Tasos mentions being “in our group“, I doubt it, and I don’t think Tasos could either. This is one of the longest running Darkfall Myths perpetrated by Tasos and the community, like the 27 ½ million dollar loan myth, with no direct evidence to support it as being true, any of the very limited and circumstantial evidence to support it under closer scrutiny proves nothing. All It proves is Tasos added Aventurine’s contact details and potential services to some online websites that list thousands of companies for free for anyone. Or that they paid a minimum of a few hundred dollars one time, to have a 1meter squared booth at a defense industry convention in Greece, which means nothing because they’ve been perfectly happy to have booths or even no booths at gaming conventions like E3 and others without even demonstrating Darkfall. Tasos has potentially been caught lying at a recent Greek gaming conference, and has spent years making unsubstantiated grandiose claims about Darkfall and his company. Yet you still quote yet another vague and ambiguous claim he has made and accept it as fact, and attempt to use it as evidence that Aventurine is a successful military contractor. When they have yet to even demonstrate they can successfully develop a computer game let alone successfully create and market software and services for the military sector. |

What's so special about buying a sticker on a race car? ANYBODY can buy advertising space on a race car and than label themselves a "sponsor". That's exactly what a sponsor is. A person who buys ad space.

These myths wont die. From this thread on the same subject: First let me say, I dont think Darkfall is a scam. I think they bit off more than they can chew, yes, and I would even go so far as to say they have lied (outright or by omission) about the condition of their game. But I think there is a game. Now, about your link...please! It makes them an expert in jack squat. If you click on the link to Aventurine from that site, you get this: In addition, did you happen to notice this link? http://www.asdsource.com/source_add.asp Yeah, you can put that crap in for free. Here is a quote from Tasos about their company: "Aventurine was originally formed to fund and publish Darkfall.[snip] Its activities, other than Darkfall, are research into game and simulation technologies. They claim to have ADVISED war-game simulation military projects in the past through 'other companies' in their 'group'. WAY different. They formed as a company to fund and publish Darkfall. This is no "well established and respected defense contractor", it is ridiculous to even suggest such a thing. |

Well, I am Greek and can assure you that Greece sucks ass in general. The only good thing is that Greece is a beautiful country, but we are doing our best to ruin it ASAP. |
