The graphics are pretty good, but kind of annoy me for some reason. They look kinda pixely and gritty in my opinion. I don't know why..maybe because it's so high of resolution and the textures are very high res. Any take on this? |

My only issue with it is it doesnt support anti-aliasing. I can force it through my video board, but its kinda flakey. It works sometimes, and sometimes not. It also doesnt work with HDR and Id rather have HDR. |

They could use some fine tuning thats for sure, I did see they changed or took out a few things for whatever reasons or at least when you hover over them you get an error code. I assume with them changing the character models and animations maybe they have plans of fine tuning the graphics eventually as well, of course this we wont know until they post something about it. |

The client still has no AA. Thats the main reason. There is always some "noise" on the screen.
Another reason is, that Telon is very big and a lot of people worked on it. Some places look much better then others. |

If you take a loook at the graphics options in Vangaurd you will find that there a huge amount more than in most games, and because most machines cant really handle these high settings and performance is an issue for a lot then they are defaulted to quite low! Stick bloom on at least and you will notice a vast difference. but of course dont let this be detrimental to your perforance too much. Also, there is a LOT of fog effects in vangaurd which might make things look shallow, try /setfog 9999999 and that will remove most of it and reveal the true colours. If you have a powerfull machine with lots of ram and GPU Power try adding some anisotopic filtering. |

Yes. Still no anti-aliasing support. Can be forced without problems through the driver now, though. |

At least with Nvidia cards you can force AA from the card. Works very well, but it chews up a good chunk of FPS.... I believe Silius stated that the coders where working on the AA issue and then it would become an in game option. Overall, when you can start to push into the high setting range and start to crank up some of the bells and whistles the game really starts to look phenomonal.

I think graphics quality is almost always subjective. The lack of AA's does make VG less 'smooth'. However, with a good setup this is one of the few games I've played where I keep wanting to take screenshots. The artwork - if not the graphics - is just staggering....to me |
