Darkfall

Atm I'm playing AoC - which I  very much enjoy - but when I come to the AoC forums here on this site, it's hate, hate and some more hate. So I don't really look at them much more.

Instead I try to look for something that might actually make me start playing another game than AoC, or an extra game, and of all the games out there, released and in dev, this might perhaps be it for me.

I have to say tho, as you might have figured since I play AoC - realistic graphics means alot to me (can't stand WoW visually), and the graphics in Darkfall... well to be a new game to be released, they kinda suck... no offense.

But by all means, I can understand why they might not be awesome, if the game has been in planning since 2001? And with no instancing the tech required to run good graphics increase more.

Anyway, this doesn't really seem to be the game to play if you're interested in awsome graphics anyway.

I very much like the concept of no limits with classes, and there is no levels too? I don't like overall levels much since I think it gives away to much info in PvP.

This game is set to release within 2008? From what I've read I doubt that though... If they gotta test it properly and fix everything that comes up it might still take... maybe 2 years? 3? I don't know.

So hope to see this game released, might just give it a try.

In the meantime I play AoC and have alot of fun with that

Hmm... very good troll thread OP, I like the innocent, meandering manner of your post, but still you managed to toss in a few slams against the graphics and fears of it not releasing (at least you didn't use the term vaporware) Throwing in several references about how much fun AOC currently is for you really tied it all up quite nicely.

I salute you! 

But just in case you were serious, the Dev's have promised to release it this year, so that's the benchmark everyone is measuring it by.  And yes, it will have sandbox type gameplay elements not often seen in modern MMORPG's today. 

I have no issue with the graphics, all I care about is gameplay and the ability to crush at a decent framerate.

Will DF deliver? Till they release it we'll never know, but at least its a hope for something different.

I wonder, if i post a praise of a game, will it be considered trolling of another game...

Everyone can see the graphic quality, so i don't see how that is trolling - they are better than WoW perhaps, but there are lots of games with better graphics than Darkfall, i already mentioned one.

But it looks like there is a market for a game like Darkfall, so I don't see why not.

Since Darkfall isn't released yet, and I like to play MMO's, I'm obviously gonna go and play a game already released that i like best.

Then when, or if, Darkfall releases, i might give it a try. That's all i said, how that is trolling i dunno.

That being said, if Darkfall really is releasing this year, that would be awesome to be able to try it out this year already.

Graphics mean nothing if the game play is shit.... Gameplay is the most important part of any MMO.

Graphics could be stick men for all I care as long as the game play is great.

Sadly, the Darkfall forums here on mmorpg.com are much, much worse. Some 60%-80% of the posters here are trolls I'm afraid. If you want more info about Darkfall I suggest you try the official Darkfall forums since that is where the community is these days, now that most of us have abandoned mmorpg to the vaportrolls.

The people over at Forumfall are intelligent and helpful (though there is a bit of culture shock for newbies to overcome to see that) and the staff are double-A-plus when it comes to helping newbies.

As for the graphics Aventurine are gunning for MASSIVE uninstanced PvP battles so AoC level graphics are out for client-graphical-lag reasons.

Ha! The trolls won't even allow Tasos to finish a sentence before first claiming it was a promise and then claiming it was broken!
