To live free is worth dying for.

Since I can't ever remember my user name/passwords from the past, and no.. the email addy's are no longer functional...  Which sucks cause I think I had an account with like 5million and cruisers.. ah well.

Anyhoots, back to what matters, Eve on try 3.

I've got about 8 days left of my free "pleas pay to play Eve again" account, so far... it's better then the last two stabs I took at the game.  Now, I'm not a graphics player (Gameplay > Graphics) but it WAS nice to load up the mo'better ship models.

Also, creating a character was much easier this go around.  I have like 16 Int and 11 Mem and 11 perception atm with learning skills and implants from noob missions.   I'm also learning Frig IV so I can hop into my Osprey late Monday.    That kinda gives you an idea where I am at.  I have found this go around much more... pleseant then last time.  I can't quit put my finger on it.  The game is still mad hard to get your mind around all the layers of knowledge you need, but they have done a great job of making it easier to get into.

And less painful.  the missions are rewarding enough that I haven't spent near the time I did before mindlessly mining 10.0 Space to afford a new ship.  Hell I've lost a Kestral and a Merlin... both me being arrogant and not high tailing it out of a mission zone hoping that last missile would do the trick.  Ah well.

I do have a Bantam with twin Mining I lasers and two 25% Hull exapanders in.  I like to run that when I am busy with other things.  Like say GHIII on my X360.  Play a song, slip over and send the ship back to base, dump off that massive scordite and put her back out then do the next song.  Very relaxing.  Once my Osprey is up and running I plan on doing the same only out in .8 space for some better ore.

Over all the game is fun like it wasn't before.  I dunno, maybe it's that I've burned out on other games.  WoW is hopefully finally a burn out, EQII I play around in but it all feels... pointless.    Eve there is a real loss, and reward for ones actions.  Make the right choice, you earn something, make the wrong choice and it's all gone.

I guess it helps that the one time I DID have to pick up a purchased item 12 hops away I was smart enough to manually pilot through 0.0 space instead of hitting autopilot.
