Former SWG Player 2004-2007
Played-EVE, Ryzom

In a New Producer's Note Today on the SWG forums Deadmeat is stepping down as he has been promoted to Director Of Development and a new Producer for SWG is in place now ... here is what the post and the new Producer had to say....

Also ... someone asked what happened to Blixtev (did he get fired...???)

So Say We All.... William Adama

For the number of times that SOE has destroyed the game I loved, even after it was very clear it was not what the majority wanted, I feel that they should start making donations to us- Paradox (SWG)

Blixtev hasn't gone anywhere. He's lead developer, Deadmeat was the producer.

Blix's most recent forum post was yesterday.

The reward for your ignorance will be death.

They all say they are huge Star Wars fans. But they all play WoW and think it the best game ever. This guy probably isn't any different.

And just because he's a huge Star Wars fan doesn't mean he knows how to produce any quality content.

We will see what will shall see.

I have to admit that Deadmeat did a good job of cleaning up what he could with the NGE.  So now they have a lucas arts man in place as the producer?  Does he have a blog? It also sounds like the year for SWG is already planned.

Ah my favorite brain soup: cream of no where.

What''s the matter kid, don''t you like clowns?

I'm sorry, SOE with a new producer is like the Nazi Party with a new leader: same crappy product in a new package...

Either way SWG's project plan is already set for the rest of this year with or without Chris. I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Helios who doesn't care what the players want. I am so glad I don't play the game anylonger.     I give him 9 months before he gets done learning how to play swg
