Cowards die many times before they truly perish, yet the valiant only taste death but once. |
Compared to what people say about this games bugs it seams to me they are gone, apparently sony has done a great job fixing em. In a nutshell, dont let the horrors of the old game and its bugs make you not return/try this game. |

I agree. I very very seldom encounter a bug in vanguard and the ones I do encounter are all graphic bugs. No gameplay ones. To be quite honest I can't say it was THAT bad at launch either. Sure, it was a mess but at least it was playable as opposed to conan where stuff isn't only bugged, they just dont work, period... ah well. At least it's fine NOW. Who cares about launch. |

I think there was a bulk of folks that left BEFORE Sony took over and fixed the game. Prior to Sony, stability and performance was poor. I think folks that have played recently would agree the game is quite stable and runs very well now. |

I played before and after the game fixes and it just doesn't seem like a very well made game. Actions look corny and are delayed. As far as bugs go there are a lot of graphical bugs, not really pathing or anything.

My goal of this thread is to cut out all the " Oh Vg sucks has to many bugs blah blah blah" I most everyone can agree it has come along and bugs are limited if any now. That said its one hell of a game without having to worry about falling through the world or crashing. Go vanguard! |

Vanguard still has bugs, but the Dev team is very commited to fixing them and adding new content. For some people, the game was unplayable at launch, mostly because of inadequate hardware. There were bugs, but they were not game-breaking (for most people). My PC could only play at the absolute lowest settings, so I bought a new one. Not everyone can afford to do that, so they had to give up the game. Since launch, and especially since SOE took over, performance has improved dramatically, My old PC, for example, only got 4-8 FPS on the lowest settings at launch. Now I use that PC to 2-box a healer and I get a steady 25 FPS (still on the lowest settings).

I think it's hopeful that, with the commitment the devs have shown so far, the glitchiness of the animations will eventually be sorted out. Once that is sorted out, and the general minor glitchiness (e.g. loading screen) sorted out, Vanguard will be pretty much finished and working as the great game it was intended to be. At any rate, the irritations left in Vanguard are pretty minor compared to what they were initially (even 6 months ago when I first tried it). |
