Gaute on the difference between WoW and AoC:

"I enjoy playing WOW, I enjoy playing Lord of the Rings Online. But you know... I'm going to be a bit cheeky now, but if you've been to McDonalds for four or five years, and had your burger and your coke, sometimes it's great to just have a great steak and a glass of good wine. I think that's what we're trying to do. It's more expensive, it's not for everyone and perhaps it's not as easily accessible as WOW is. But it could be more meaty."

The entire interview is worth a read really, as it mentions some of the promised and not delivered features (such as drunken brawling) and some of the PvP changes.

Wow. What a brilliant analogy. I have never heard that one before.

If WOW is McDonalds then AOC is Wendys.

"It''s good to be evil."

AoC owns, end of story.

If you don't like the system move on. The way AoC combat works is the future clearly, it has few small issues at the moment but after those are ironed out it will be greater than life.

/fanboi end

Some feats are bugged or not doing enough at the moment, but that's how MMOs are, some feats are just not worth taking until they are made proper.

Vi veri universum vivus vici

It's more like eating shit and drinking piss. The apetitizer is great, but once the meat arrives you realize you're eating shit and drinking piss. Not only that, but the desert is not only delayed but its unfinished, half cooked, and raw to boot.
