WAR (Warhammer Online)

Those videos confirmed that this game is a WoW clone. Not trying to be a dick or anything but: the map/radar is in the top right portion of the screen, the player's energy bars are at the top left, the enemy's energy bar is right beside it to the right, the abilities are in a toolbar at the bottom center portion of the screen, and the chat window is on the bottom left...like WoW.

I'm not going to post who said this, but i thought it deserved it's own thread.  Here's proof that WoW didn't invent the MMO genre, or gaming genre in general. 

My point is that User Interfaces change over time and there is NOT one standard.  WoW did NOT invent user interfaces, get over it fanbois.

Yeah unfortunatley WoW brought a ton of people who have never even pondered that there were MMOs before WoW. As much as I would love to hate these people I was one of those people who thought that EQ invented the MMO. At some levels to me WoW just felt like EQ for third grade kids, not that it wasn't fun but it was easy and shallow.

I think WAR's RvR -centric feel will differentiate it from WoW, atleast I hope

its a wow clone. the only difference is that is is more about pvp and the graphics are updated a tad. they added nothing new to the mmo genre. its still the same do a million quests to get to max lvl. then you have three choices, spend 4 hours in dungeons, pvp your heart out, or just mess with lower levels to make up for how much of your life you wasted on a computer game.

Since I know you haven't played it..and I have actually played it...well..People ASmith is a liar. :)Just because a game doesn't give you the hardcore or the openess or the sandbox tools doesn't make it a WoW clone.
