Massively ran a story about this snowboarding MMO called Project Powder (read about it here) that sounds pretty cool. Be sure to watch the trailer. Basically, the game looks like SSX online, which is awesome in my opinion. Crazy online snowboarding = win I just signed up for the closed beta (do so here), which is starting next week. I hope I can get in. If they can successfully pull off a good snowboarding MMO, this may just be the last game I'll ever have to play |

Cool, but I'll save hard drive space and hoverboard in There.com if I feel like doing that kind of thing. Some of the animations in the video look as if they came straight from There.com. |

Project Powder is awesome! I'm ecstatic that I got invited to play Closed Beta. The game is a thrill when you're out there racing against others. There's a new fansite out there for Project Powder called ProjectPowderHQ. It has a forum arcade, an IRC Chat, and a wiki! Lots of cool features. Game information won't be added on to the wiki until Open Beta launched (lots of changes occur to a game before Open Beta) but the forums are useful! Go register on the site....well worth it! |

I hate to shamelessly bump my own thread like this (but I will anyway! The game has really improved over the last couple weeks, and all the connection issues that plagued the beginning of the beta seem to have been resolved. It really is shocking how much better and more stable the game is now than it was when the beta started Did anyone here actually play the game? I know it's not a traditional MMORPG by any standards, but there are definitely serious MMORPG element in there. If you ignored the closed beta, I'd seriously suggesting checking out the open beta. Hopefully it starts sooner rather than later |
