one question before I buy lotro - General Discussion - Lord of the Rings Online

Hello!

Well some of you have already seen some posts of me about LOTRO. Well I decided to buy the game, I'm a bid bored of wow so I Want something new for casual gaming :) . Tomorrow I will do my last exam and I was thinking of buying lotro tomorrow! I have holiday now, so a lot of time to play ^^. But I will be a lot outside the country in july so, I will only be at home for about 1 week. So I was thinking of just starting a 14 days trail to get into the game so I can already play for a week and after that starting with paying my subscription. But now my question is: If I buy the box and install it, and I log in with a trail account, can I upgrade my trail account then with the code from the box? And will I lose my free month of gametime when I do so?

oh and I will play on the European servers, probably on snowbourne ^^

While I can't answer for you, I upgraded with a week left on the free trial and the week was added. Which in the end didn't matter since I bought the lifetime account.

No you will not lose your free month. I did the same thing (upgraded my trial with retail) and got my free month too.
