"Following a supposedly successful launch, Funcom's Age of Conan has begun to crumble as the opening-month hype wears off and the criticisms increase. Today's extremely demanding MMO players are accustomed to a very high standard of gameplay and polish that seems just out of reach for Funcom's new title, and the rapidly declining user base is evidence that this experiment has failed." Although I am not a fan of AoC in fact I think its garbage, I have to say, that so called article is the biggest load of crap I have ever read. Full of complete lies. There is no wayyyyyy!!! Funcom requires 500k monthly subscribers just to break even, it's complete fabrication. No MMO company in their right mind would project 500k monthly subscribers as an achiveable target and if they NEED 500k just to break even they wouldn't even launch the game. Sorry I hate AoC as much as the next man, but that article is just rubbish and written by a total moron and WoW fanbois. |

This entire article is a complete fabrication... I would like to see the supposed reputable sources for the numbers they are providing. Everything I have read has indicated very different information. It really hasn't made sense to me all this time why some people seem so personally invested in AOC's demise... The only thing that makes sense is that they are absolutely terrified that the game's success might draw players from whatever outdated MMO these people play. |

going to agree with both of you, i quit Aoc Myself, but I know alot of my friends still play, basically only me and one other quit out of 7 that played, and our guild of 120 people still has active members in the range of 80-90. Theres only 30 people that have been off the game for more than a couple days.
This article is written on a WoW site, and the end article point is horrid. "We Want more WoW" we? who me? No I dont want more woW I want more SWG, or maybe a nice slice of city of heroes, but with some actually depth and better crafting.
Thats what I ******* want!

Yeah this source doesn't seem very reliable and if any of it was true i do disagree with this part mostly.
3. World of Warcraft Raised The Bar Too High
Wow will obviously have a more stable environment after so many years and not have as many bugs. This notion that blizzard has good costumer service though is almost laughable i do not hate wow in the least its good what blizzard accomplished but with all that they did accomplish i think they are lacking in customer service department the most it is horrid. They should take a fraction of there earnings and dedicate it to that department only. |

interesting review. A little too harsh and a bit overexgerrated but I could certainly see all the bad points the review raised. Its like a fanboi review but the opposite lol |

Honesty is the best policy, but insanity is a better defense. |
I too have quit playing a while ago, and while I do agree with some points the author of the article has made (3 (somehow), 4 (hell yeah) and 5), I would love to know the source of his numbers. If his numbers are true, the game is in worse state then I have imagined in my darkest predictions. |

I'm a hater too....but this is just jibberish. The whole thing screams "I'm another game's fanboy, so lets make stuff up and then talk sweet about MY game!" I seriously doubt anyone at funcom has provided him with such a chart. ESPECIALLY if it were true...these people NEED the jobs they have. From the bottom, all the way to the top. The people employed here need jobs...and handing something like this over is slitting their own throats. This isn't like the Lucas Arts leaks...those guys already LOST their jobs. In that case, Lucas slit his own throat. Whole article is pretty much garbage, and I do not support anyone (not even those whom agree with his "points) to bother with it again. We have plenty of legs to stand on to hate this game without resorting to lies outright. Doing such a thing just makes the other points (which are actually valid) appear weaker as a result. I do not particularly enjoy someone weakening my stance by association. I promise, not all of us whom hate Funcom are like that guy. |
