I'm really sorry for anyone who is anticipating any Webzen game. First off, all their prior games have been total garbage. Second, every game they have in development has had release dates set years previous to now, and never saw any light of day, nor any explanation as to why nothing ever came of them. Huxley is one such title. I was excited for Huxley, and a few other of their titles. I eagerly awaited their release, or even testing... yet... years have passed since then. They either need to a) stick to timelines or b) stop committing to unreasonable goals.

Huxley released, SUN released, MU Online sucks but released. The problem isn't the release date. Its the fact they don't want to host the games themselves in the US, and are having trouble finding people to localize it. |

Eww....is that bunny hopping I see...please tell me that won't be a dominant part of the game. Please tell me there is some factor that will reduce the ability to bunny hop. Honestly the more and more I look at this game the less I want to play it. My interest in this game is being replaced by my interest in APB. |

I'm not sure why your offended by the "bunny hopping" because this game is built on the Unreal 3 engine and the Unreal 3 engine is built for extremely fast paced "bunny hopping" action. I hope you realise this is an FPS and not your run-of-the-mill mmo. Not sure why you would scorn bunny hopping in an FPS in the first place. You bunny hop in all fast paced FPS's, ever play Quake, or Unreal before? Can you imagine not bunny hopping at all? I can't. I think it would be hilarious to watch Professional FPS players play a fast paced FPS without bunny hopping. You'd basically have abunch of newbies. (halo players). I really hope they don't tailor this to non-fps players or console gamers. I somehow think it would go downhill, just look at the PS3 version of unreal tournament. 1/3 reduced movement speed, are you kidding me? |

ahem...i have been playing FPS games since they were created...never once have i used, nor needed to use, bunny hopping for any of my games. So to call people that dont bunny hop newbies, is a comment that is not only false, but shows how much you really know about FPS games. And NO pro gamers dont use bunny hopping either...well the good ones at least. |

I don't think this will play like Planetside, looks to me more like Hellgate: London, which I don't mind at all, so it makes me happy to see another game of this style, hopefully being released soon,( although I won't hold my breath just yet) Bunny hopping; this so called tactic or strategy hold no merit and looks ridiculous when other players use it in a FPS game. just my thoughts. :) O--------------------------------------------------------------------------O Old mmorpg's don't die, they just respawn somewhere else! from what i read over the past couple years up to recent this game feels and sounds like a large version of UNreal 3 FPS based MMO. kind of on par with guildwars with PVP and the way the environment is. not my thing truthfully, it looks nice, but i dont like the idea of paying $14.99 to shoot it up with people in something that plays like Unreal 3. 3.4ghz Phenom II X4 965, 8GB PC12800 DDR3 GSKILL, EVGA 285 GTX 1GB, 640GB HD SATA II, BFG 1000WATT PSU. MSI NF980-G65 TRI-SLI MOBO. |

I guess it explains everything since you've only played FPS with a controller. Maybe i'd be as good as you if I played Pro Halo too! I've seen "pro" controller fps players. Yeah, "pro" fps players that use controllers have no right to call themselves good. Just curious, since you ever played Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament, or even Counter-strike?.... *sigh* This is almost as bad as owning an entire server and being banned for "hacking" |

Well heres some replies to some of the posts...too many to quote... Most mmos take more than 5 years to develop....(companies use the early press to get investors/stock price) Its open beta in korea on june 27th....(so yes it is coming out this year) They just signed a deal with ijji.com for usa hosting so it might bee free.... bunny hop or not i dont really care...i can still shoot people who jump....(honestly i hate snipers more) There hasnt been a reall mmofps since planetside its about time another one came out. I liked hellgates style too bad it isnt a mmo... Im looking forward to APD also....but that is at least a year away...(and webzine has nothing to do with it now)

This game still seems like vaporware, but if it comes out I might give it a try. If you like bunny hopping, that's your thing. But you really shouldn't whine about people who don't. My preference is an FPS that requires thinking about a battle in a larger sense. About the flow of battle, and where you (and more importantly) your squad would be best placed and when. Not so much interested in whether I can successfully move my mouse 3 inches precicesly in the right direction and time in order to head shot some kid who can double tap 3 keys. Speed is security, but bunny hopping has always been such a freak of gaming dynamics. Did any army anywhere in real life ever win a battle, much less a war, by training their troops to bunny hop? Do the marines require that you bunnyhop before you go into active duty? Is that a part of hellweek now? Not that I want games to be so real that they aren't fun, but I'd prefer not to have to rely on ridiculous mechanics to win. As such, I prefer personally the backstab. I prefer sneaking around, and shooting only if I have too. I prefer using a knife or a sniper rifle because I am not a human aim bot. I wasn't even when I was 16 and had better eyesight. I prefer staying out of sight and scouting. Speed is security in games with bunnyhopping. It isn't so much when you have to think as well as you aim to win. Bunnyhopping games tend to be pretty brainless. Far be it for anyone to like another type of gameplay though. So stick to the bunnyhopping if you like it. There isn't really anything wrong with it, it's just not for everyone. And it certainly isn't for placing yourself above other people just because you happen to be good at it. In any case, could someone clue me in to what ADP is? [Begin Sarcasm] Girls don't use the internet unless theres a webcam involved....its a physical impossibility. They also don't play them thar vidya gaymes, mmorpg = most men online role play girls...even in ventrillo. -kyte317 |

Still hoping that this new one wouldn't be the same as the old crappy games they have. http://stagelife.multiply.com/ |

there are some ingame videos that you can find through google, which are taken during the Korean Closed Beta. To be honest it looks like crap, from what i've seen in the game it's Unreal Tournament where you gotta pay for. No tactics just jumping and shooting......
you can find the movies here under downloads: http://www.armoureddragons.com/

Might be a cultural thing... maybe I'm too old (33)... but I'm just not hip to any of these asian games... they never seem to make sense to me and I have a real hard time finding any immersion because I don't really get the worlds they create... like elves with 1 feet ears and big blunt swords twice their size with electronics on em... and maybe they transform from male to female at will... also that is 1 of 3 characters you can play and you get to pick the color of your hat... if you pay extra. Huxley is not as bad as some of the others but most look like they were made to run on an OLPC. I wish they would have inspired themselves from the original IP rather than try to make things up... I'm just not getting Huxley (figuratively and literally) |
