How will try before you buy work? So, Tasos has told us all that we'll be able to try the game before we have to give them 1 cent. That is refreshing to say the lease. My only reservation would be to the payment options we'll have with Darkfall Online. Everyone remembers Mourning and Dark&Light. Personally, I refuse to give up credit card information again with regards to gaming. Companies are just getting too deceptive on how to cancel your accounts to ensure you are not charged again. Then if you are accidently, good luck getting any money back. If you are an AoC person who bought the game and then cancelled your account, you may have received an email yesterday stating you'll be charged on June 25th. I was a pre-order order customer and if I hadn't cancelled my account, it was July 1 I was suppose to be charged. So how ten extra days got cut to five, I don't understand. So, bottom line is, forget credit cards, forget bank accounts, forget clicknpay schemes, just give us GAME CARDS from the start please. Sure they might take a bit of extra leg work, but at least with a game card I know the back end processing won't screw up and charge me after I cancelled my account. |

Originally posted by Shannia I have a feeling the whole "try before you buy" deal will be the "few weeks" of open beta, and that will be that. Could be wrong...but that is my impression. As far as credit cards, I have no problem with that at all. Anytime I dont like a charge, and the merchant wont refund, I have my CC company reverse the charge. |

Originally posted by Shannia Yeah, I have no problem with that. I cant really see Aventurine doing game cards for this niche, but who knows? More options = good. |

Want Darkfall now! |
I dont get it? You know when you read the feature list of a MMO if you will play it or not. AoC and WAR sounds uninteresting for me, whatever the hype might be. TCoS is a maybe. And when it come to DF.....if the weeks of open beta are positive, no remaining questions or so, then i will play it. But one word of missing features or changed gameplay, and im not interested anymore. So i will not spend a dime on any MMO until im 100% sure i will like it. Credit card or not. |
