 eek, it very well may be a scam  but I trust Amazon much because I have pre-ordered 6 games from them (2 of them about 7 months away from release) and even if the prices are not correct then they have a price guarantee and I will be credited back any money or if it costs more they will safely take it from my account, as they have before.  also, I will quote from Wikipedia (which may very well be incorrect) on it's Aion Wiki, "At the moment the game is priced, according to NCsoft, at $14.99/month flat fee but this may be subject to change" and on there site they have stated the game will be P2P.

i meant local as in US and European devs, i aint sure what exactly they do, i just know they didnt decide on what type of release yet, and yeah as ephi said (which i didnt know) p2p is confirmed

the wikipedia source isn't one to be trusted tho, since everyone can contribute anyone can type in stuff that aint exactly true, still i think the price/month will be $15,- and i hope €10,- (since 15 dollar converts to 10 euro roughly)

The flying videos gave me flashbacks from "Pilotwings" for SNES.  Loved that game, and the flying in Aion looks breathtaking.

yeah it is :), and from what i hear its pretty easy to do aswell (especially once ya get used to it)

f = down

and ya can use mouse to look around :D

Yah they improved it on CBT3, now it plays like GTA: SA planes but with the ability to stay still in the air lol, awesome :D

This game looks very impressive.  I have had high hopes for warhammer for over a year now, but i think my new game of interest is Aion.  Looks amazing

i have editted some minor things, but as far i have seen there still are no major flaws in the faq that since it got originally written got changed. If there are, please pm me on these boards and tell me what needs to be changed and i will get back to you as soon as possible

yeah excellent thread.  More information than any AION website.  Loves it I just wish they would state a date.  I am already hearing now 1st Qtr '09 :(.

It'll definately not happen this year - might even extend that to the first half of 2009

Glad to see people are reading the AionSource FAQ. It might help to dispell the stereotypes that have been cast on it.

Unless the screw up somehow I'll be checking this game out.  It sounds too cool to not atleast buy the box and play for the first month.

Flight as an integral aspect of your character is very intriguing.  The game also looks great, which doesn't hurt.

This is from aionsource, and not one person bothered to double-check this? The system requirements are wrong - Athlon 3000+ does not equal 3.0Ghz, it equals 2.1Ghz and will make a world of difference in running this game. So which is it?

Recommended:

* CPU: Pentium 4 3.0GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3000+
* RAM: 1GB
* VGA: GeForce 6600 or Radeon x1550, DirectX 9c or higher
* Hard Drive: 20GB available space
* Windows XP or Vista
 

It does not state that the Athlon64 3000+ equal 3.0Ghz.

the Pentium4 3.0Ghz and the Athlon64 3000+ are close to the same performance, regardless of the differant Ghz's of each chip.

Just so you know, those system requirements were for the closed beta tests. Soon they will be moving to OB in Korea and then going live hopefully in early 2009 in Korea then we(NA/EU) can start playing in early 2009.

thank you for the post i didnt know too much about this game before hand but after reading this post im quite interested in it.  so does everyone think it will come out in early 2009?
